David Allen Something To Believe In The first thought to hit me when this song started to play was, here comes Garth Brooks. Once the initial intro had passed and the vocals had kicked in that feeling ironically shifted a little to more influence of David Allen Cole. An emotional ballad of love Something To Believe In is soft spoken and gently arranged. A perfect example of late 90’s Nashville it is hard to define a line between Country and Pop with this song. Further blurring that line is a Bon Jovi influenced guitar solo at the 2 minute mark. A solid effort that is a technically sound performance of a standard example of ABA songwriting and honestly produced the song is hard to knock. It is competent and every bit as liable to find its way onto Contemporary Country radio as anything else coming out of Nashville and there in is maybe the knock for it. It is just a bit formulaic and as such does little to stir a listeners emotions beyond the norm. ------------------ Bobby Bensley CMAP Music International <IMG SRC=\"http://media3.j...F3-B604-D8A22BCE2F9D}_IG.jpg\">
