It does not hurt checking out what one of the music business' most successful, enduring, hitmakers of all time, has to say about songwriting, if you think you are one, or asoure to be one.
To argue against that, is moronic, go write for the NY times For starts use spell check . I never said I was a good as Billy Joel . I write my little songs , record and promote . I followed Billy Joels advice . You do not . you push buttons Yeah, spell check. I have an excuse, auto correct. You somehow comprehended that what I said here, was that you said you were better than billy Joel. Never said you said that. I don't think you have much of an attention span, and you have terrible reading comprehension it's not about following advice. It's about seeing how somebody else does it, maybe it can be useful to you. Maybe not. But your stupid comments... Ahhh derrrr, if I had millions I'd be down to earth too...
