Unfortunately, a small number of people continue to keep them going. Since your post includes comments about who is the "worst songwriter" and references to "ladies," I think it's fair to say you're participating in that dynamic rather than standing apart from it..

The quality of songwriting is subjective. Different listeners will have different opinions, and that's always been true.

This is still a songwriting site, and people continue to post songs, reviews, and collaborations. That's ultimately the reason most of us are here.
Not in reality. Just words. In reality, this site's main attraction is acrimony and virtue signalling from people like you. Songwriting faded as a primary effort a long time ago.
As for me, I'd rather discuss songs than personalities. There's already enough of the latter.
