Suno can cover a song. You upload up to 2 minutes of your original song, your chord progression, your vocals, whatever you have and you tell Suno to generate a cover of what you uploaded. If you want, you can change the genre. Suno will create two cover versions that are very close to your original. If you don't like them, do it again. Of course you can use a cover version as your original to start with. The results are in most cases very interesting.

I tried this for the first time on a song I co-wrote and recorded in 2008. The quality of my original wasn't too good. Back then I wasn't too sure of what I was doing in the studio.
This is my original recording I did back in 2008: https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=7187411
Here is the cover version that Suno generated: https://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14926149

I have cover versions that are even closer to my original but I liked the intro of this one much better than my original. As you can hear, Suno uses my lyrics, my chords, my melodies and even my vocal variations that I sang. It generated the whole song even though I only uploaded the first two minutes. This has nothing to do with tags or lyric structure. Suno creates a cover of the audio material that you upload.
