I've downloaded files from Google Drive twice... Both times, my Email started running slow, and I started getting all kinds of spam, even in my primary "non-Gmail" address! Since I changed my addresses, and I'm very careful not to link Gmail with anything (like my phone to my computer, or even check Email on my phone) I haven't had a problem. Sorry, but I simply do not trust Google! I consider my Google address disposable...
