The first Polish victims of Nazi Party enslavement and extermination arrived at Auschwitz June 14, 1940, considered the camp's 'inception'. It is estimated a million people died there. There were 42,500 camps. Eleven million people were systematically exterminated, most the same day they arrived. Another seventeen million were enslaved, with IBM Punch Card machines tracking the 'freight' for railroad billing purposes, generating numbers to be tattooed on slaves' arms.
