Ah..the Windsor NS location was familiar but I somehow had a braincramp with the name. So TO, Vancouver, now Windsor. I guess we have establishe you like water...Lake Ontario, the Pacific and Altalntic sides of canada with direct access to the water
Yeah Beatto does a great job deconstructing music and I like the basic message here.
Essentially he says music is so vanilla these days because of an overuse of the same chord intervals and progressions...and he points to writers who went in unique directions and even changed keys back and forth to create unique melodies. McCartney also said you have to have at least one chord in your chorus that is unique to the song. Guess Beatto is saying...be daring
If writing ever becomes work I think I'm going to have to stop
