If You Have To Ask Taxi If Your Songs Are Good Enough I would say don't
bother because if you don't know, they are not good enough
Taxi offers a wide array of PAID opportunities for placement in films and TV and corporate advertising/marketing. If you have a song you think fits an opportunity they post, you submit it. If they agree it is suitable (not good or bad, just that it FITS the listing in terms of content and quality and genre etc. So someone could have a good to great song which simply isn't right for a listing and TAXI will explain why that is. Often it is that people falsely believe a great song will get chosen even if it doesn't fit the listing. They don't understand that you must give the client what they want, no matter if you think they are right are wrong. It is a lesson that even talented writers/artists must learn. Additionally, the song may be flawed in someone way that the talented writer isn't hearing. That sort of blindness is not uncommon. It might be a particular line or even word makes it inappropriate and they need someone with the right understanding of markets to help them with that fact. (It could be a political bent or an expletive or any given SJW hot button du jour and the minefield that bullcrap becomes). It could be tone (too dark, too happy, not serious, too serious etc. which doesn't make it a bad song, but still makes it inappropriate for the marketplace. Of course it may also be because you don't know how to write songs that are commercially viable for the markets you want to reach and in those cases, they tell you what needs to be fixed. It might be the "artistic" vocalist you use that you think is so cutting edge is a turn off to the market. It may be a great artistic choice but the market isn't ready, or you could just have someone who can't sing (including the writer who can't sing well enough). etc. etc. etc. You need to understand what a company does and how they do it before making blanket statements like you did above which are simply not factual. Additionally TAXI offers a money back guarantee so there's no risk if you don't like their work. And for the record, they are not currently JPF sponsors and haven't been for many years. But I know them very well. Brian
