You started it, Ricki. grin

On the sublime topic of farting, I've recently read a hilarious and immensely informative book - The Etymologicon - by Mark Forsyth. He's an etymologist, and a skilled writer, who has studied the origin of words in the English language. The history of many of them is amazing and amusing, and of course includes fart', and related 17th-century anecdotes.

I highly recommend this book (and Forsyth's others) to anyone who has any interest at all in words and language.

Actually, downloading and reading his books have been part of the good things that I've exerienced in the last few days. smile

Honour the Earth. Without it, we'd be nowhere.
