Due to the size of this board, by far the best way to search it is via google with jpfolks.com listed as the only domain to search. By doing so you'll get instant results no matter how old the post. With well over a million posts here the old search function can't handle all that.
Give it a try, you should be happy with the results. You can also find ALL your posts by putting your user name in the mandatory search terms so it will find only those posts with your user name. There are other little tricks similarly you can use to help with searches.
