Open on a sports hero... hounded by fans and media... flash bulbs and yelling and signings and chaos...

Change view to a young boy. He walks up to the door of a house and on the door is a sign that reads "No autographs." The boy turns around and walks away.

Change to chaotic scene of interview with sports hero and him at the airport, getting on the plane.

Change to scene of same young boy and his mother at a Hallmark store. He asks if his mother will buy him a card for a special friend. She agrees. The boy picks one out.

Change back to the sports hero walking toward his home, noticeably tired. He enters and closes the front door.

"No autographs" ...

Cut to the young boy walking up to the sports hero's house...

he stops..

reaches into his pocket and pulls out the Hallmark card and a pencil...

The boy sits down on the stoop and writes something down, then stands up and rings the doorbell

the sports hero opens the door..

He sees the boy and says.. "Look kid, really. No autographs today"

The boy says "Yes sir, I know..." and hands the card to the sports hero

The sports hero reads the card with a barely legible handwritten "Your friend, Billy"

The boy says.. "Since you were out of autographs I thought maybe you could use one of mine."

The sports hero smiles and says "Thanks, kid. Wait right here a minute." and heads back inside briefly.

He comes back to the door and hands the boy a signed jersey.

The young boy accepts the gift and heads home...
