Hey there Nelson,

Just taking a spin thru here again after a while, and I knew it'd be a pleasure to start my MP3 tour with one of your songs.

As usual, you did not disappoint. I agree with Ed's comments about your influences, and that yet the sum total is uniquely you. I've always enjoyed how your musication is so well-suited to my favorite part of your songs, the lyrics. You are a terrific story-teller, and get a lot of bang for your buck with each turn of phrase. I particularly liked:

And for his life so sweet, there's a dated receipt,

and

For a life of excess and greed, she made a deal in concrete,

One technical note: I loved how you used the same rhyme scheme in the verses. When you commit to that sort of format, it can be challenging, but clearly, it didn't impede you in any way.
