Hey Tom,
Great article, thanks for posting.
Fingers crossed for a second season. That sure did bring a lot of jobs and secondary spin offs into the industry there.
Hopefully the trickle down effect will benefit everyone. Time to hussle up a song placement for next season Tom !
cheers, niteshift

Yes Nite
its sure has brought in alot of money for the town in various ways.......
I hope it becomes a popular show.....
maybe by next season I will have some songs to submit to it....they want songs never heard by the public-not even on MYSPACE page or whatever.......completely unreleased........

I am still not quite sure what they meant about that Jim
as you know the NSAI-the songwriters assciation bough the Bluebird awhile back.........what I think they meant was that the show has "recreated" a version of the place for purposes of their tv show...
that would make more sense to me cause the Bluebird is too small to film a tv show in......and the location is so well known and all the folks would have to find the new place etc etc......
so I think they mean the show just did a mock up of the club for tv filming purposes...

Yeah, they built a TV studio set a few miles out of Nashville, re-creating the interior of the Bluebird.
Hey Tom, there is an inside tongue in cheek reference to "East Nashville hipsters". What are they ?
cheers, niteshift

yw Tom-I plan to check it out myself..............I wish em well cause new TV shows have a high mortality rate.........they certainly have a fun, interesting town to portray so its all about the quality of the acting and writing...its good that the producers have so much time here....after about 8 years here I have alot I could write about myself...
hope you enjoy the show

Tom Was that white socks or hair Tom ? Yeah, hope it goes well. With the audience so split these days, it's hard to get a following in anything. It will come down to interesting story telling, and I'm sure there's a few stories to be told there. Best of luck to them. cheers, niteshift

I finally got a chance to watch the pilot -- lasted 10 minutes. It has soap opera written all over it. It might have a few good moments, but I am not going to sit and watch catfights and dogfights for entertainment.

yep Kevin its a soap opera all right........but ABC knows who is into those things and I am sure they think theres a market for it......its said to cost $4 million an episode to produce.....new tv shows have a very high mortality rate.....so we shall see if it can go the distance to grab an audience and keep it

Does anyone know who to submit to for the show? I have a couple of country tunes that might be perfect and no one has heard them yet.
