I won't dare to look back G................................C I don't think I could stand the view Am............................. Your message said we're done for C.......................... And girl it'd be a real chore ......G...................................D (walk down to G) If I turned my head for one last look at you I'll just say so long I sure would hate to prolong The shattering of love break apart I think a drink or two will offset The protracted time to forget Every memory you left inside my heart [Chorus] Am/C............G I'll, get over you Am/C...........G I'll get over you Am/C.................G....D....(Walk down to G) I guess it won't be soon I'll ride into the sunset Even though I know I'll regret Falling for a love that came unglued [Chorus] I'll, get over you I'll get over you But I guess it won't be soon Thanks ** Chap

I like this, it's really catchy. At first I didn't like the 2 guitars on top of each other in the beginning, but once the words came in, it worked. I love how the mood of the song actually contrasts the upbeat music behind it.

Thank you very much yanigurl. I have since rewritten a couple of lines. After listening I believe I want to speed it up just a tad. The guitar was was mostly just noodling around but I do like the overlay. Although, I think next recorded I'll use a Strat on one side. Thanks again. Chap

Good sound. i like the melody. The drums sound like they are at half the tempo of everything else.

Hey Colin, Thanks a ton for stopping in. The percussion was done on purpose. After doing it at speed, I felt the 1/2 tempo gives the whole song a lot more bounce. Appreciate it Chap

I like the half-time feel, there is a slight tempo glitch in the Am stanza of each verse area, I think. The ending would be a good place for a touch of sadness...too happy of an out-tro.

Thanks Neil. Appreciate it! Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I'm going to slow it back down and give back the melancholy sound. I was free wheeling without a click track... Need to get the steel slide out... CHap

Chapman,
I really like this song!
I felt like you could cut one of the lines in the chorus (I'll get over you), it's just my opinion but feel it would be effective to just do the two lines I love the harmonies in the chorus.
You sound great in this too, really enjoyed the listen!!

Tams,
Thanks for listening.... I do have to agree with you. After listening to the tune for a couple days, that chorus does drag just a tad too long. I think I will try it with the dropped line as you suggest. And the bonus is, that will give me a few more seconds to build the "interlude" guitar/slide riff. A Twofer!
Thanks,
Chap

Chapman,
It's a very catchy tune. I enjoyed it a lot! The production sounded a bit rough but it could be my computer connection too. Nice write!

Hi Chapman,
I love it, too. Lines like "I don't think I can stand the view" feel pretty fresh.
You didn't fall into a trap that you set here:
I'll ride into the sunset Even though I know I'll regret
which would have been to have mispronounced "regret" by accenting the first syllable, like you do in all the other verses, but more importantly, in the preceding line. You show enough song-sense, there, to simply rephrase that line in a natural way, so the accent on "regret" falls where it should, on the second syllable. Many would wrongly go REgret, so...THAT made me happy!
A pretty nice song, a cleaner demo now...
cheers,
Mike

HiDee Chapman & Co...
Liked what I heard, nice Harmonies in da Chorus.
I'll sug Chorus lines be re-Stacked...with Hook, Last-Line, then back to your Hook Again, to end on it. KOS, & Good Luck with a Good'n', Amigo!
Best Wishes & a Big Guy-Hug, Stan
