(PLEASE TURN AUTO-PLAY OFF if you are posting more than one song in a thread..... or really, just as a matter of courtesy... AUTO-PLAY is SOUNDCLICK DEFAULT, and most people clicking open your thread want the choice for when the music starts, esp those of us who open more than one window at a time routinely! and tab tab tab over to review you!)
All right, time for my Teacher Hat for a minute or three here.....
IF you ALREADY KNOW where to find the "Share" and "Embed" buttons on your stuff you are halfway there. Just find that, and copy the code for the individual song you are posting up.
THEN as you post your NEW TOPIC, look at the BOTTOM, below your post text window and above the "Submit" and "Preview Reply" buttons:
-- find, on the left side of the table, the word "Markup" -- to the right of that word is a little drop-down box with a Default Setting to: "using UBB Code."
CLICK THIS BOX, and switch the option to either "using HTML" or "using HTML and UBBCode."
Then: -- PASTE your CODE into the top of your post to embed your song player.
VOILA!
Now, if you DON'T know how to find your "share" and "embed" buttons on your songs... to pull up a little window that displays all this messy-looking CODE you are supposed to COPY... that's where I may need to figure out how to take some screen shots here, so I can show you exactly what you are looking for at all of these sites.
But the basic idea is find the SHARE button - CLICK -- then find the option to EMBED -- and copy the code in the window it gives you. SoundClick and Reverbnation are a little bit harder to find for the individual song.
I'll walk you through this if anyone needs help. Just post here or PM me. thanks!
Go to your INDIVIDUAL SONG PAGE for the song you want on the MP3 board.
See where your SoundClick page says lower down: "Take Charge" you have an option listed there for sharing called: "Get Single Song Widget." Click that.
Then in that pop-up window, FIRST, UN-CLICK "auto play song" so it won't just start playing every time someone clicks into your post.
HIGHLIGHT and Copy all that code in the box you see with "CTRL + A" to Select All.
and on you go! Post as described above.
***IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR A SPECIAL FEATURED SOUND CLICK PAGE*** this all works a little different, and I can't find this same panel from those pages. Somewhere in your stuff you should be able to find "Widget Help" though.
REVERB NATION: Log in and Click into your PROFILE.
If the song you want isn't on that page click the "See All ## Songs" link to bring them all up.
From the SONG TITLE: You see:
EXAMPLE: House of the Rising Sun Play · Queue · Download · Buy · Video · Lyrics · Share · Details ·
Click DETAILS. Now you see at the top a SHARE line with icons for FB, Tweet, MySpace, Email, and EMBED - EMBED is last.
Click THAT. You will go to a "Live Widget Preview" - and unless you're paying them extra you don't get to change or "Customize" your basic Widget so ignore the whole top of the page.
On the RIGHT HAND SIDE is a GREEN LINK to "Place Widget." on THAT page that opens you see a preview of your widget below, and the CODE BOX, finally, at the top. HIGHLIGHT and COPY ALL the code in that box.
Then post as instructed above to JPF. Ta-DA!

...and you may be able to embed anybody's song you like, I don't know! I can in SoundClick... just haven't tested, but I will see about it.
Click "Share" under the video. Click EMBED option (of FB, Twitter, email, etc)
COPY the CODE. you can even change the code for the size of the video - try to keep to the smaller sizes LOL. You can check the box, or uncheck for "show related videos" when the video is finished playing. i usually uncheck it.
Post as above.
ANY YouTube video which has embedding enabled will work. Try it yourself here in this thread if you want!!
SOUNDCLOUD: click into the INDIVIDUAL SONG by clicking its title.

Below a screenshot of my posting options . At the top left it says : Posting form. HTML is disabled. UBBCode is enabled . Markup options : "using UBB Code." or "without UBB Code /HTML" . When I use "without UBB Code /HTML" I can preview the embedded video just fine . But it is all text when I try to post :-) This has to do with the posting form wich I believed to be that you could not use HTLM at all on this forum . Clarely someone can :-)

How VERY cool, I've tried stuff like this before and it never worked, how come now?
Also will it or could it over load this site?
I think now because the boards are NOW HTML-enabled. The original versions were not. There are still separate, NON-enabled, UBB-media embedding tags I've seen in other boards where it will only embed YouTube basically.
Tech is catching up - it'll get there
OVERLOAD of boards- my guess is it shouldn't, esp if, in a single thread like the MP3 boards, one or maybe two players is embedded per thread. But so far this one isn't crashed yet!
Anyone having a LONG TIME loading this thread???
I would guess the MAIN problem will be those poor unfortunate souls still on dial-up. In that case it will still be a courtesy to provide your song link when posting, in case the embedded player gets hung up.

well i got the embed changed it to let the HTML read but it wont play comes up error....
OK MIke, student #1. LOL Your embedding worked perfectly but SOUNDCLICK is saying it can't find the video source. This is a SOUNDCLICK error and not a board error is my guess; something in the code means something can't find the video you referenced.
I don't know why it can't find the video Well, trial and error.. I didn't try embedding a SoundClick video so yours is the first try.

1) Switching your MARKUP to an HTML option, or
2) you used the "Quick Reply" box at the bottom of the thread (which is the way we typically reply) ... that won't work, because it does not allow you to switch to HTML Markup.
THIS is your 2nd code post, above, where you used "old HTML code" from YouTube.

JAN! GREAT screenshot!! that is not the way mine looks. I wonder if this is an international issue, or a browser issue. What browser are you coming in from?
Strange that it previews all right but doesn't post right. Can you post something this way, so I can see what's happening?

This mystery... I can't explain. Hm Hm Hm.... Do you have the capacity to try Firefox, Opera, Chrome or other browser than what you are using right now, and see if any different options come up?

Nothing has been changed... these features have always been there.. just no one ever bothered to use them. = )
Well , not everyone can use them . Wondering if there are some restrictions for us outside the USA .
