Nude Attitude © 2011 Greg Swartzentruber/Neil Cotton) http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10926056While driving down the street in a tropical haze This feeling came on me wouldn’t go away This cop he pulled me over said you can’t do that here Yer needing to explain this make it loud and clear I shrugged my shoulders and then I said C1 At this hot latitude I got a nude attitude Those clothes just had to come off It’s how nature made me Don’t stand there n shade me A small splash of sun ain't enough At this hot latitude I'm in the mood to be nude I got a nude attitude He started to describe there’s a time and a place We only let the sun shine on our arms and face I must confess it that I would if I could I’m thinking of joinin’ in, looks pretty good He stripped his blues off and then he laughed C2 At this hot latitude I got a nude attitude Those clothes just had to come off It’s how nature made me I’m gonna let it bathe me A small splash of sun ain't enough At this hot latitude I'm in the mood to be nude I got a nude attitude B~ A mailman and a housewife joined right in Though neither one’s the type that we‘d call thin The more that people did it the more we became one The thing about being naked it makes ya wanna grin Anger disappears when you're wearing nature's skin Crime is not an option with no place to hide a gun Chorus 2 and tags

MFB III Thanks for stopping by. Not your everyday topic but interesting all the same. Greg has many interesting ideas.;) I'm hoping the music works.

Hi guys, Cleverly done & I LOVE the subtle horn at the end. Some words seemed rushed---but other than that... A cool/fun song. Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart

Calvin...thanks for the comment on the wording delivery. I should fix that. I was trying for variations in phrasing but that may have been a bad choice. Greg always comes up with clever ideas. Thanks again Neil

I really enjoyed this Neil. You had just enough cute, just enough story telling, just enough imagery to make this work. Backing music is fantastic--the best I've heard from you yet. Vocally---I'm used to your voice, but this would be worth having someone else sing it. Lots o' potential.
I think you could have gotten to the tag line more quickly in the chorus, omitting the next to the last 2 lines.
Nice work.
Zeek

Zeek Thanks Zeek...I've come to respect your opinion, especially when you like something I do. LOL Definitely the singing has room for improvement. I'm glad the backing music is working for you. Interesting comment about the last few lines of the Chorus. I thought it was working well. Will consider.

Hello Neil.
Fun lyric well presented. Zeek hit the nail IMO and you might consider what he suggested.

Hello Neil. It is always keep or sweep isn't it? We can only call them as we see them and sometimes we don't see anything.

Cute tune Neil. Love the rhythm section. Watch your vocal phrasing in a couple of places if you ever redo the vocal. It got rushed a couple of times but nothing serious.

Stevie I will try another run with a slightly different approach...but not now...I'll let it simmer. ;-)

A modified version is up now...different bass line...slightly fewer words in places, and a titch uptempo. In the future, the bridge will be torn down and reconstructed Meanwhile this is the only detour available.http://soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10926056 Comments welcomed.

"Stop the process I call 'waiting to live.' This is the worst type of procrastination, because there will always be another 'reason to wait' lurking ahead. Once you are in this rut, it is nearly impossible to get out of it. Instead, adopt a 'Live as you Go' mentality." -Brian Austin Whitney
