Hi everyone, I'm Tom. I was directed to this site by another member who posted an example of a collaboration we worked on and was surprized when I found out how many members were here, and how much work is going on. I am a "lyrics only" member. I know, there must be a factory pushing us out right. Uhm, I'm not good at shedding light on my life history. Not exactly the A type personality, but that seems to go away a bit through lyric writing. I can be anyone there. Most things are made up, not really fantasy, but not exactly all truth. I mean, not really a picture of me personally. I like to take a bit of my own reality and then lie about the rest.  Well, I'll be doing some looking about for a while. hope you're having a good day. Hey Colin, thanks. I'm trying to figure out how to edit my profile because I see you're in St. Pete, and there are others here in FL who I could actually meet in person because I'm over in Lakeland, FL. I've always been interested in working with musicians who are in the same room, not that "on line" collaborations aren't rewarding, but just that I've never collaborated with anyone face to face.
So, I guess I've set a goal here haven't I.

Welcome Tom! Plenty of Folks here to maybe work with you, putting music to your lyrics, or you finding melodies only that are in search of lyrics. ???

Thanks Johnny, I'm looking forward to learning more about the site. I'm sure I'll post something soon, and the unfamiliarness, I need spellcheck, will wear off.
Oh, I love writing to existing melodies. I also enjoy the part of the collaboration when the song comes back with a melody different from the one used to write the lyric with.

Yeah, the lyric boards are slower than in the past. some new blood should be welcome. Kind of rule of the thumb, critique more than you post and don't post 'em too fast
