Sounds like it came right off of a contemporary christian radio station. I just listened to the music and read the lyrics -- I didn't watch the video too much (not a big fan of slide shows for song presentation).
I really liked the opening guitar sounds, but the fuller instrumentation worked, too. You've stayed mostly in the metaphorical camp -- I wonder if having names, events, imagery might make it connect even more. Hard to tell.

I listened first Sans-Video..LOVED this song/"KUDOS" for a really Fine One! (I'm a Deist..not overly-fond of By-The-Book Christianity, but THIS song sang to ME-The-Outsider as-well, QUITE Well!) Liked the Video, too, for the most part.

You have a Great Production here--It may need a Unique sound like Resonator Guitar that speaks Musically: "OPEN ARMS" ECHOING..........through the song.
I write some Gospel--Wrote one for Steven Curtis Chapman "TOUCHED BY HIS HAND", but never got it to him--
Good Luck with this one--I has a great Message for a lot of People.
