Stunningly worthless forums. I click on a link to see what i've posted before,, and there is nothing there. Tomorow, I'll click once again, and i'm sure i won't find this post. Is there really any link on this site where you can actually get a response to your questions? Ott

Joined tonight. A friend gave me this site's link and it looked interesting so I'm in. Like many, I'm interested in song writing. It's a fun pastime.

Welcome Melodeous. I hope you'll consider using your real name or even your first name and last initial so folks can get to know a real person and not just an anonymoux ghost on the web. To change you just change via the display name portion in the My Stuff menu about center. Once you request a change, I can activate it. It's not mandatory, but people have limited time and often prefer to spend it helping real people.
Either way, glad to have you with us.

Welcome to the JPF, Gary. I believe I saw your name over at the Ramp a little. They are a little more "serious" about reviewing over here -- but there are a lot of songs flowing by, so you have to hang in there for the long haul.
I'll be on the lookout for you stuff.

Hey Jason - You should market your music on all social networking sites. I don't know if you have a budget or what kind of music you are playing or what you expect from it but do research. Promise it will help

Hi Colm! Welcome to JPF! Ireland happens to be my favorite country and Celtic music as well as good pub songs are some of my favorite types of music! I write lyrics and love this site! I have made some good friends and had some nice collaborations with sevreral members. I hope you enjoy this site as much as me. I look forward to seeing and hearing you work!
Take care, Jennifer/Jinx

Hello, I am Darrell Lee (Cowart). I am a songwriter/singer and musician for quite a few years. I enjoy all genre of music and I especially like collaborating with others. I have a knack for putting melody to words when I don't have any of my own. I probably lean more towards Country cause that's what paid the bills a lot of times. I am a single 50 year old Man. I tried marriage but I am not good at it. My only child passed in 2006 and I love dogs. Sure hope to meet some new folk here and share our passion for music.

Hi Darrell,
Welcome to JPF. Glad to have you. I suggest you change your display name to your name since you've already shared it. People will then get to know you rather than a name that most of us wouldn't be able to pronounce. = )

Are we sure that Grange is the male half of the photo? I mean parents could be big ZZ Top fans and named their daughter the French version "La (feminine in French) Grange" = )
You're both welcome to JPF!

Hello everyone, my name is Naasson (pron. like 'Jason')...just signed up tonight after being recommended by Dan Kimpel, he mentioned it would be a good site to network with others in the music business! I myself am a singer/songwriter/musician. I write most of my music in the Electronica/Alternative genre under the name 'Fellowservants of the Last Millenium' but I also write anything from contemporary to R&B on the side as well. I just love writing music and do it alot! I currently reside in the Inland Empire in CA (So Cal) about 45 East of LA. Anyways, hoping to find great connections here and possibly be an encouragement to anyone else!

Hello Everyone! A former teacher of mine told me about this site. I've written a lot of poetry and stories, but have yet to write a song, although I want to! I play the guitar, bass guitar, piano, and I also sing. Music has sort of been absent from my life lately, which is not a good thing, and I am looking forward to bringing it back! I want to write a song, and hopefully I will find some direction and good advice here! -Jackie

Hi Doug,
Nice to meet you. Where are you from? Consider including including that info into your profile and also consider changing from resodude which is the same as anonymous to us, to your actualy name (partial or complete) so we can get to know the real you. Network is only useful if people know who you are.

Hi Doug and welcome! Lots of great discussions here! Hi Arianne! My dad's people are from Pittsburgh! We have three lyric feedback forums you can present your songs on and get constructive feedback. There are musicians who might even collaborate with you if they like your lyrics. Have fun!

By the way Brian, Denmark had an unusually large amount of success for a smaller country in our last music awards... I think perhaps 4-5 winners came from there with nominees from 160 countries.
