Ya know what I think? I like the lyrics so far, what I can hear of them. it is kinda hard to hear it...love to see the lyrics if you could post them..I think the sythnsizer dates it--makes it sound early 90's......perhaps make it more of a hip hop song...I think it would work well that way...with more beat to it..just my opinion...Kimberly:-) Good luck on this one

I agree with Kimberly's comments.

Obviously what you can do about it partly depends on what sort of musical gear you have access to, but the current arrangement is too home keyboard-like, circa 1985.

Dropping the synth counter melody - some sort of string pad patch, by the sound of it - would make probably help, especially during the parts where there's a vocal. That riff kind of overwhelms the singing.

See if you can find some more modern beats to work with.

But it shows promise.
