I was going to say that 'Lyrics for sale' is a great song title.
But now I see that you actually meant that: you're selling your words.
Trouble is, genuine songwriting collaborators don't sell each other their lyrics or music. Rather they work together on the project and agree to share the profits that it makes from royalties, sales or whatever.

You can only do them when you edit your post, Jan (at least that's how I know how to do it). So write a comma, and go in to edit the post. Then you get the options on the top right when clicking on the small yellow head..

Are you interested in composing one of my songs? I don't know yet. I shall have a look at your words later. I would not be interested in buying them, however. No matter how great they are. If I collaborated with you, or anyone else, it would be on the basis that we both contributed to the project and then shared any money earned in the proportions agreed beforehand. In the case of a lyricist/composer partnership, that would normally be a 50:50 split if the contribution from both parties was equal. All the same, 50% of nothing is still ... erm ... nothing.

Just curious, do you intend to be included on the copyright, or are you selling these lyrics with no strings attached? If the former; do you expect to pay the musician for his/her services? Are your lyrics exclusive, or are you selling the same lyrics to multiple clients? Do you have any idea how many great lyricists reside on this website that are willing to collaborate on a 50/50 basis? Good luck

The purpose of JPF is essentially, peer education, so.....
Not even the best lyricists, i.e. Bernie Taupin, or Stephen Sondheim, or fellow JPF and Grammy and Oscar winner Dean Pitchford , "sell" their lytics.
If you're good, people will know about you and seek you out.

See that's the main problem with music today -- everything is free and it undermines those of us who want to sell, sell, sell!!! I was going to charge, but decided to go free too, so I didn't want to use up an expensive rhyme at the end there.

Just a word of advice... if you come in here with that kind of attitude, you're going to have a really hard time getting people to critique your work. Also, you've made a pretty bold statement considering the company that you're in - I would suggest looking around the forums so you can see for yourself just how much you have to learn.
