Ben,
That's pretty good. Should try that every Friday Afternoon.
Fortunately I have the antidote for any unsuspecting innocent people who wander in here.
Try this "Bye, Bye Miss American Pie"

Fortunately I have the antidote for any unsuspecting innocent people who wander in here. Try this "Bye, Bye Miss American Pie" Well, I've working on this years "50's Dance Party - Tribute to Buddy" show coming up on the "Day the music died" 50 years later, so that song has not left my brain for that last 2 weeks But, I am looking forward to our show at the Whiskey Junction in Minneapolis. Hey, thanks for the plug and threadjack Hey, he did said "Don't read this post".

I thought I saw little dots but wasn't sure? They look yummy! You need to put a glass of milk in the picture. Oh Lynn says Hi since she wasn't allowed to read this post.

Not guilty, Judge... I most certainly did not read Ben's forbidden post. No sir, those cookies were all there when I left! It must have been Orloff or Kaufmann! http://www.showcaseyourmusic.com/DaveRice

My Dear Messr. Rice,
Please be informed that I have been retained by "Orloff" to refute accusations made that she and possibly "Kaufman" stole cookies from Ben's plate. I am simply using her log in since I am not a current member of JPF.
While Ms. Orloff has had a sordid history of partaking in the savoring of confectionaries to extremes, with an emphasis on cookies, she has since completed the "12 Step Cookie Detox Program" successfully, which is well documented, with said receipt of her certification presently in my possession to be used as Exhibit "A" if need be. While she does engage in an occasional sweet treat, it is always within reason and on a very limited basis and certainly the baked goods are not stolen. Rather she prefers the purchase of said goods or upon invitation from a friend, where they enjoy a "tea and crimpet" type setting but will also defer to her favorite milk and cookie engagement (w/an exchange of milk depending on mood for warm tea so she can dip her cookies just long enough before they would fall into the tea and ruin her day). Mind you she has become proficient in the dipping process and at present even teaches a course at her local college called "Cookie Dipping 101" which is well attended.
But so as not to deviate from the true intent and purpose of this letter, be informed and on notice that my client did not and never would steal Ben's cookies as good as they look. I also offer my services to represent Messr. Kaufman should he be in need of a good attorney.
Please detract your accusation or this matter will be taken to the next level and you'll find yourself in Cookie Court. I bid you good day sir!!
Sincerely,
John Dough, Esquire Dough a Deer Law Firm

I didn't mean to start a cookie controversy and I didn't realize that one of my cookies was missing. There is a cookie thief among us. I suspect that it was someone who read the post and didn't comment. I'm not blaming Rice, Kaufman, or Orloff, though Orloff has a history of cookie abuse. I will retain the services of my attorneys Flint, Hardrock, and Steele (some tough names) and rely on the cookie police to solve this crime. Ben

So... we have a "Cookie War" going on here! What extremes some JPF Stars go to deny those "cleptish" tendancies. Alright... since you have resorted to the "cat of nine tails and waterboarding" I confess... I did it. Apologies all round... under extreme duress.
Just wait til' I make contact with "Lefty" Genovese, the kneecap modifier from Hoboken. Meanwhile, I have resorted to fabrication of Oatmeal Cookies to "die for" and I'm not sharing. Mumble, mumble, crunch, crunch... as I prepare the second one by dipping it ever so gently in chocolate milk.
Suffer, you cruel fiends. Be very afraid.

Dear Messr. Rice,
I see you have come to your senses and it is fortunate that you have as the consequences of an unfounded accusation of my client would have led to a life of confinement minus cookies of course. Is there any greater punishment? I think not!
I acknowledge and accept your admission of guilt and consequently this cookie caper case is closed. My services will no longer be needed so I will now submit my bill to my client for my time. Of course my firm charges our clients by cookies so "Orloff" will be busy baking or buying quite a large amount of those delectable circular pieces of heaven to pay her bill, unless of course she chooses to dip into the Cookie Defense Fund which may help her at this particular time since they are in a bailout type mindset at present.
I suggest that in the future you refrain from these outrageous accusations. I can tell that you are an amateur when it comes to the traditional pastime of eating cookies, since no one would ever dip a cookie into chocolate milk over plain milk. What is the world coming to!!!
I will share this news with my client since she promised Ben not to read this post and always lives up to her promise! You on the other hand have read the post against Ben's instruction, stole a cookie, have friends like "Lefty" and are talking with your mouth full of oatmeal cookies to top it off!!
I bid you goodday sir!!
Yours untruly,
John Dough, Esquire Dough A Deer Law Firm

Barrister Dough:
How dare you threaten an old Pillsburian "softie" like me. The thought of someone sentencing me to a life without cookies... so that I may not demonstrate my epicurian capabilities is highly offensive. (If indeed, that is what you implied???)
Those of us who enjoy dipping a cookie in milque-du-chocolat are most certainly in the majority. I even know a few individuals, songwriters extraordinaire, who prefer to dip into buttermilk.
Now, I must return to the difficult task of penning more words to my new hit song, "Who stole the cookies from the cookie jar!"
Yours indeed,
Sir David of Doughville

Darn it, Ben:
I've killed another thread. Maybe I can blame it on Orloff's barrister? LOL!
