Hi Everyone,

I have been a bit absent from JPF...more than usual anyhow, of late. Lots going on in my life of the good and bad variety, but here is something really good.

As of a week ago, I and my co-writers, Melody Hopkins and Jeffrey Socia, received contracts on our song, Put My Foot Down. The publisher gave me his home address and said, send whatever you have. Well, I did and he's picking up... She Found Me Anyway (co-writer, Jeffrey Socia) So, 2 song contracts in about 8 days. Needless to say, we are all very happy and honored to be working with this particular publisher. We all feel very blessed and encouraged for the new year.

For me....I could have never done it without the love and encouragement that you have all shown me over the past year and a half. Thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart. The ones who have been there for me...big time....well, you know who you are.

Congratulations. That's the first step along a long rocky road. A good publisher is a good thing to have, a not so good publisher is a bad thing to have, hope your is good, great even. I've had publishers that were good but failed and I've had publishers that screwed me out of royalties when they placed songs. Good luck.

Good, I'm pleased for you. How did you happen to find this publisher? Most of the good ones won't accept outside material, unless you know someone on the inside.

Let's just say....I took a shot and all the planets lined up right and we got a listen. Sometimes things just work out. Has published Alan Jackson, Travis Twitt, Aaron Tippen, Ken Mellons, etc. etc. Very, very big time songwriter is the music producer there. We are truly blessed.

Congratulations. Brilliant. Is it a Royalties contract. Were you offered any money immediately. Very interested to know about the deal and what plan the publisher has for your songs.

Songs are being actively pitched....think we have a great publisher. Everything is looking fine.

WELL HAPPY NEW YEAR, JANICE!!!

WOW!! I nearly missed this terrific news! It has been a bit tough for me to Huge CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm amazed that it has already been a year since we got together in MI. It's been clear that you have the talent...but it is often really difficult to get that breakthrough. I am thrilled that this has happened to such a gifted and awesome writer....and such a sweet person.
