This is a song that Bill Creel and I just finished. Bill and I co-wrote the song. It was recorded at 10 Acre Recording Studio. Bill sings the lead vocals and plays all instruments. The beautiful background vocals are by Shelia Sikes. We would appreciate you listening and letting us know what you think. Tom http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=831131&songID=6878705They Call Her Barracudac/ 2008 Thomas Shea and Bill Creel She's more than you can imagine. She will never be one of them. Better watch your step around her. She is coming 'round again. Challenge her or keep your distance. Think before you take that chance. Don't think the speed she's moving at Means she don't know the dance. They call her barracuda. There are many who have learned Pretty faces don't not mean weakness. Mess with her; you're gonna get burned. She might not be too familiar. May be someone you don't know Understand what's going to happen. She's won't ever let it go. You question what she can handle. You think she's not as tough as you. Better consider your direction. It's time to face the truth They call her barracuda. There are many who have learned Pretty faces don't mean weakness. Mess with her; you're gonna get burned. Instrumental Break It's been a long time coming Now she's here. They call her barracuda There are many who have learned Pretty faces don't mean weakness. Mess with her; you're gonna get burned. repeat

Hi Tom & Bill Boy you guys are really being productive, that is so great. Ya know there are so many times when we just can't get anything accomplished no matter what. Then you can catch fire and really get a roll going. I been meaning to get to some of your tunes you and Bill. Tom It's really GREAT that not only do you have someone who is doing a great job on your songs production & performance wise,. But you have a collaborator & friend as well. That is awesome!!! The song is real solid. It has the vibe of some of my favorite Clapton stuff 461 Ocean Blvd. Bill - great feel on everything, you definitely have the touch in all regards. If I had to make one suggestion and its a small one.. it would be on the backing vocals, nice work there too as well. The song almost didn't need the B vocals in a way. Then the bridge came - and they were great in there. then the chorus that followed it was - The One! The notes she sang on that opening chorus line should be on every opening chorus line. It was that second to last chorus that showed why the vocals are in there.. I'd get that one on every one. It was the best notes overall and the best timing and level. Great work on the other tunes as well guys. I haven't been able to reply everywhere but I listen. keep it up your on a roll...

Hi Guys, I'm not sure if you are intending to pitch this given the political timing, but if you are there's no time like the present. I think this song has merit and potential, especially if infact you are talking about Sarah Palin w/o mentioning her name. This could one of those songs that they play when on the campaign trail, etc. I can hear the crowd singing the Chorus like a chant. 1. Most importantly, the Chorus has to go higher right from the start. I'd get someone to really belt this out w/great vocals. Vocals are the most important part of the demo (and of course the melody). Remember the Chorus is the payoff. Give it all you can and by all means go into it higher!!
2. I don't think you need that little 2 liner right before the last Chorus. The instrumental there is very good though. Perhaps a bridge would be good there. Some ideas: She's says what she means, She means what she says, You won't find her mincing words, She'll make a great vice prez. (Yeah, she's runnin' for vice prez) or She's one classy lady, Shoots straight from the hip, If you want to hear her take, (If you want to know her stand) Just read those lipstick lips. Good luck. Best, Lynn

Lynn, thanks for the comments. We are already pitching it to various republican organizations. One of the important things is that the song be singable for rallies - hence it does not go very high. It is nice of you look so carefully at the lyrics - good thoughts. Feedback like this is always so important and appreciated. Here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cbZNIF9BkATom

Great thinking and timing, Tom. Super production, as always, Bill. Best of luck with this - maybe they'll use it and quit making the Wilson sisters mad. I wonder what this would sound like at a faster tempo? Scott

Hi Tom and Bill I like it and think it's a fine job... I wanted the background voicing to sinc up better with the lead .... or create a totally different part as an echo for them. jm

hey Tom..
First, let me say, I'm right there with you! There's no sentiment like a real sentiment. I love the lyrics. I love the camp. I love whats on your mind.
To the meat.
The vocals are weak. There needs to be a rising of vocals on the chorus. The lyrics are righteous, the melody rocks. The vocals, however, need to go beyond the foundation of the chordal melody. There needs to be excitement in the chorus. At the same time there needs to be a build up in vocal strength in the verses. In other words, the vocals of the verses needs to give rise to the vocals of the chorus.
I love the Billy Preston styled keyboard. I think that is a mojo to work with. Its the vocals that can make difference. Blow this baby out the door. Make it be heard!!!!
Chap

Chapman, I appreciate you listening and appreciate you taking the time to comment. Bills makes that keyboard really rock. As for the vocalas, the purpose of this song is for people to along with at rallies - thus the vocal range has to limited to allow new listeners to sing along.
I appreciate the meat comments....

Cool song but I can't share the sentiment. Frankly, I don't understand why the country has gone nuts over this woman. She is just another a conservative fundie who is as wrong for this country as Pat Robertson would be. GO OBAMA/BIDEN!
Anyone who says the people need to get their hearts right with God will NEVER get my vote. In fact they will guarantee a vote for her opponent. Just say NO to THEOCRACY!
