The showcase in May will be the third Sunday of the Month on Sunday May 18th. Mother's day is the second Sunday and the whistle stop has a ton of pre-planned events for the day making the change necessary. Sunday May 18th 1pm-? www.whistlestopgrill.com

For anyone who is interested... Papos has asked me to videotape, so here's what I'll do. If you WANT TO BE VIDEOTAPED at the showcase, so that your performance can be put on myspace, let me know when you go up on stage and I'll videotape you. Don't expect much... I've got a consumer video camera. I think I was chosen because I volunteered.

I'm hoping to be there as well...and take some photos. I'll also be getting some photos up on the JPF MySpace page soon of last year's showcase in Ybor and the first showcase at the Whistle Stop this year...

I was also thinking it would be cool to record anyone who wanted to be recorded... straight from the board into my laptop, basically. That way we could have good sound for the video instead of cheesy bad built-in video camera mic sound. Does that idea make sense? Think I can get a stereo rca feed from the mixer?
That way, if someone wanted a video and audio recording, they could get both, or if they didn't want to be videotaped but they wanted an audio recording, they could just get that, OR if they didn't want either, that would be great too because it would give me a break...

I will take a look at the board but you should be able to run an RCA feed.
I don't have any RCA chords so you will have to bring your own.
I actually want a video of myself and I could use some new pictures as well.
I will have my camera with me as well but I will need some one to take the pictures.

I think the plan is to put together a montage video of all of the folks who want to be taped. But aside from that, I'll have movies of everyone's performance (those who want to be taped) suitable for putting on a website or YouTube. Might as well... I'll already have the tape.

Just wanted to say that it will be great having Rob as part of JPF. He's been putting quite a bit of effort into keeping an original acoustic music scene going on in the Bradenton area by hosting Songwriter's Nights - first at the Bradenton Cigar Bar and currently at Barnies. And although he hasn't been at it long, the man can write some songs!!

Sorry to say that Leigh and I won't be able to make it to this one. We will be on WTAN AM 1340 at 7:00PM w/ James Hawkins and Cold Harbor. Just can't fit it all in to the day's schedule.
On another note, got a message that La Casa Dolce has closed its doors. It was fun while it lasted. maybe it will re open as another venue that could support live music.

There are two RCA inputs on the front of the board so you should be able to run a feed.

To my knowledge there won't be a key board at this showcase.
Steve Dockendorf will bring a ley board to future meetings if needed but he isn't able to attend this one due to a prior committment.

I just read an e-mail from Joi who was at the Whistle Stop yesterday.
She said she was very impressed by our performances at the showcase yesterday.
I don't know who Joi is but I suspect she was the lady at the bar smiling and taking pictures.
It is really cool when some one in the audience gets what we are doing!

Update on compilation video - it's halfway done. It would be all the way done but work and home are hectic right now. I anticipate putting in online late this Sunday night, at this point. Looking good so far!
