Hi Y'all....wanted to share this...I'm a little more calm. I squealed and jumped up and down for quite a long time Thursday night.... Via a tip I'd received From B.G. and Bama, I submitted a song to a publisher back in September. They were asking for..Melodic Easy to Play Children's Songs...and.I knew that...The Good Night Song..was easy to play, ( cause I could play it <g> )..and I thought it might be an easy to remember...melody for kids.. Well the Publisher I sent it to contacted me Thursday Night..The Good Night Song...has made a cut for the SongBook, Kids Tunes ( if I'm understanding correctly)...and Contract is to follow. Thought my JPF family...would be happy for me on this...cause..without your support.. I KNOW deep down this wouldn't be happenin.... Awesome. It is absolutely the best when people in our community get that only recognition that really counts. I mean it is all well and good to be recognized here at JPF as a solid writer, but to translate that into a hard and solid contract and part of a potentially commercially successful project... now THAT is self actualization at its best.

John, Thank you very very much...I can't explain well..how...excited..I am about finding I can sit at the piano..and put both hands..down..and hear a tune.in my mind.and be able..to play it... It's opened up a whole new part of me... I'm like a kid..I play somethin..(uh..with mistakes of course..)..but..it'sa a melody. and..I'm absolutely thrilled. KK Dear Anthony, Thanks for stoppin...and for the well wishes.. small or big?...I don't know..Just know It's a bonafide publishing company listed in the Songwriters Market Manual..has a staff of five people, publishes...32 a Year...and publishes One New Songwriter a year, (but I'm sure they publish more than One New Songwriter a year)...There's already an album out by the same name...and what I submitted for was the Song Book... so I don't know...Their stuff is marketed at music stores, and on the net....can't really answer ya... better late than never Kaley. I have been like a lizard drinking setting up IUMA and Sounclick sites but now am pretty well done so time to add my congratulations to this effort. Ya Know. I believe Kids songs are some of the hardedst to do. A bit like being a young kid teacher. I believe this is the hardest and most rewarding of the teaching jobs. bare bones material to work with and having to relate to that age thinking is a job not many of us are cut out to do. Graham and Charlie, Thanks.....very much Graham..My Mom passed down the love of writing about little creatures and such...(I just didn't know it) I got very angry one night.about certain things that are out of my control..and took a piece of paper out..and started writing..I just wished i would have discoverd it earlier....thank you for your kindness.....
