Any JPF-er's who live in BC (particularly Vancouver) might find Music BC (formerly PMIA) a good resource. They offer monthly workshops & networking events, a directory, etc. http://www.musicbc.org/

One of my next Roadtrip tour routes will be across Canada I think. We've toured Eastern Canada many times but never central and western. I am thinking just going straight across the entire country stopping in the largest cities in each province. Do you know folks across Canada already?

We've got Toronto, Calgary & Vancouver covered, I think, but there's a lot of real estate between Eastern and Western Canada. I could probably help by looking through my network and help with a little research.
Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan, but I've heard good things about Saskatoon (Sask) & Winnipeg (Man) is home to a lot of music too. Then either Calgary (or Edmonton) & then Vancouver, I guess. I'm just not sure if there are enough JPF-ers across Canada to make it worth your while.... assuming that's what you mean... but if you haven't been to Western Canada, you should see it, the west coast.

Newfoundland seems to be left out as part of Canada,lots of music tours start in Vancouver and end in Halifax,that is considered a tour of Canada from coast to coast.Newfoundland is an island so I guess it is easy to forget us,but we have more music per capita than any part of North America,if not the world.
There are very few homes in Newfoundland that does not have at least one musical instrument.Our scenery is beautiful and the people are very friendly,come see us.St.John's,our capital is the oldest city in North America and a haven for music of all genres.George street has a lot of night clubs and is considered a tourist attraction,a must place to visit if you are a music lover.

I agree Everett. (I didn't mention Nfld in my reply to Brian because he said he had toured Eastern Canada and I just assumed that included Nlfd) I'd love to get to Newfoundland one of these days!

Saturday February 16th, 2008 1pm-4pm @ Tom Lee Music Hall, 3rd Floor, 929 Granville St, Vancouver, BC "The Stage - Improving your performance, and your connection with the audience" With Tom Jackson. Music BC will be selecting two bands, and one singer/songwriter to perform at this seminar, as well as leave space for a random selection from the audience to perform as well.
