The showcase/meeting/musical extravaganza for Sunday September 16th is all set.
Fish Lips Grill.
6250 Ulmerton Road
Clearwater Florida.
727-216-3866
Show up by 4 pm and visit/network with your friends and fellow musicians.
Music will start at 5pm.
Bring your best 2-3 songs,networking skills and be prepared to have a fun Sunday afternoon.
Fish Lips has a good menu and beer & wine are available.
There are also outside tables for loud talkers & smokers or sun worshipers/rain dancers etc.
This is a family event so please do only listener friendly songs.
By that I mean no X or R rated lyrics.
Show up early for sign up if you want to play early.
Be tuned and ready to play when it is your time to play.
Two-Three songs each depending on the amount of people that show up.
It has been a long time since we have done one of these so I am looking forward to seeing you all soon.
Please respond!

How late is the event scheduled/allowed to run? I'm driving up from Port Charlotte that night and expect to arrive by 8:00. Would that be too late?

It depends on how many folks show up as to how late it will run.
It has been a long time since we have done a showcase so I am hoping they come out of the woodwork for this one.
I will know more as things get closer and more people respond.
I don't see 8pm as beeing a problem.
If nothing else the PA will be warmed up and waiting on you !

Drums are still a probelm so if anyone needs them they will have to supply their own or use backing drum tracks.
There will be a few guitar amps and a bass amp supplied.
Bring your instrument of choice!

Mom & I have dinner at Fish Lips every Tuesday night before the open mic begins.
Everything I've tried has been good and there is plenty of food on the plate.
Prices run from about $8-$20 depending on how fancy you want to get.
They do have appetizers and salads as well.
Fish Lips also has a very rare commodity these days with their customer service being top notch.

Unfortunately, my straight job has had me scheduled Tues. nights lately, so I have had to miss the open mics, but I should be able to make it 9/16. By the way, the food there is fantastic!

We start recording Sep 10th, I'll find out today if we're taking Sunday off...if so Shirley and I will be there, at least til she has to leave for work (she does 10pm to 7am)
