Brian, Hi there, This is Ms. Goody I'm Hoping to get out of work early enough to make it to the JPF showcase for the Tampa Bay Chapter to meet you in person. I'm not sure how familiar you are with me or the show, but.... I have been doing my internet broadcast of Mellow Melodies with Goody for the past 2 years. As a matter of fact, as of the 1st week of August starts the 3rd year. It is always a pleasure to be able to promote our local JPF'rs that I've met. They are super people & I'm fortunate to be able to have met them & have them now as my friends. There isn't one of them that doesn't have a heart and good ethics. Just so you know, I never ask for any money from any artist to play their music, but ask permission to feature their music & to promote them through the UPDATE Page and the show. Any monies I hope to earn will come from advertisers I hope to get in the future. I do have someone that would like to be the show's sponsor, though. That is in the works. The reason for this post, is I would like permission to play the JPF song on my show this week. IT really is a neat song & the show is going to consist of a number of JPF folks. I'm looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks, muches!

Hi Goody,
I don't have a copy of it to send you as it's never been put on a CD before nor commercially released. I think Mike may have the original tracks which he's going to play around with for a new music mix. I am not sure what his status is on that.
Did you get the tracks yet Mike?

Hi Folks,
I've had people ask to hear the official JPF Theme Song. We wrote this to be performed at the end of each music awards show with all the nominees singing along each year. We don't have a recording of those performances (they're pretty free lanced with a lot of vamping and a long long jam at the end each time) but here's a simple 2+ minute simple rough demo that Harold Payne, Alan O'Day and myself put together with some nominees from 2002 singing along in the background. Someday we'll do a studio version, but this at least will give you an idea of how it goes.
We're All In This Together Written By Alan O'Day, Harold Payne and Brian Austin Whitney http://www.jpfolks.com/We'reAllInThisTogether.mp3
Here's the lyrics. They're always posted on the last page of the Music Awards Show Program so folks can sing along. --------------------------------- We're All In This Together (JPF Theme Song)
Intro:
We're All In This Together Bonded By A Common Groove
We Have A Gift We All Can Use Born To Celebrate The Power Of The Muse Locked Up In Your Studio Or Jammin' With The Band Speakin' In One Language Everybody Understands
Chorus:
Cause We're All In This Together Joined By The Words And The Music Yes We're All In This Together Walking In Each Others' Shoes Bonded By A Common Groove
The Passion Burns And It Won't Let Go People Try To Tell You That It's Only Rock & Roll The Road'll Keep You Hungry But The Music Keeps You Whole Singing For Your Supper Or Singing For Your Soul
Chorus
Bridge
Spotlight, It's Your Night Standing On The Stage Daylight, Tryin' To Write But There's Nothing On The Page They May Dim The Lights But The Dreams Will Never Fade
Chorus ------------------------------------- So there it is. I was lucky to be slumming with two of my musical heroes Multi Platinum Songwriter Harold Payne and 2 time Billboard #1 Songwriter and Artist Alan O'Day. = )

Our song preceded theirs by a few years. We established it many times on video. Some suggested to me that they got the idea because some Disney people were at our awards show the first time we did it. Who knows.

Hi Folks, We have the version by Mike Caro posted on the site finally. I am not sure why it took me so long to put this up, my apologies to everyone who's been asking about it. This is a version that Mike Caro did with the lead and background vocals and guitar part done by Harold Payne and our 2003 Award nominee chorus in Los Angeles. There were all sorts of issues with our recording that night (timing and key changes etc.) which made working with it difficult. But Mike too the basic tracks and stripped everything else away and rebuilt it from scratch and did a really nice job with it. I wanted to give myself a chance to get away from it a bit and then come back since we've had so many different versions of this demo over the past couple years that I needed a clean slate on it. But I am very happy that it captures the vibe we wanted for it. I plan to link it in the next newsletter so others can check it out. Some day we'd like to go back and do a version with various members doing their own lines of vocals, but I think this serves as a definitive demo of the song. Big thanks to Mike Caro for all his work on it and to my co-writers and personal mentors Alan O'Day and Harold Payne for helping us realize our JPF vision in song form. Here's a link to the results: http://www.jpfolks.com/ThemeSongCaroMix.mp3Hope it captures the vibe for you all as well. = ) Brian To learn more about Alan, Harold and Mike, here's some links: www.alanoday.comwww.haroldpayne.comTo learn more about Mike, check out his many posts of samples and info by searching his profile here on the site: Mike Caro Substudio

Oh, YEAH, Brian, um...THANKS,...I uh...knew they were there all ALONG...I was just TESTING you, YEAH, THAT'S it... I guess that's what I get for watching American Idol (hee hee)! But in truth, as they say, all good things are worth waiting for, and this song was no exception. Great great job. I'm proud to be a part of such a top-notch organization. Ciao for now, Beth

Hey Guys! Thanks for letting me part of this. I still want to master that mix as I often do, But I also wanted to maybe have someone else do that as well to give it that fresh ears and separation factor. As it is you can blast that mix anywhere on any system it is solid and clean. On this link below I have a short video of some highlights of messing with what I added to the song to check out for fun. Of course I did all that when I had a few hours of feeling better, (rare theses days) JPF THEME Substudio video footagehttp://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=482602&content=videos&vidID=37911Special thanks to Brian, Alan & Harold & everyone involved in this song.

Someday we'll do an album with members doing their own versions of this in different genres/styles. I think that could be interesting.
