Hi Friends, Did a rewrite on this one. I have a nice melody for the chorus and bridge. AAnd a little something for the verses. See if I made any improvements to it!
Thanks! Ron
"Bring Back My Heart" Genre:Soft Rock Artist: Female (c)2001 Ron Boyte
v1 When we met, my eyes found yours Looking back, at me in Joe's Place Your hands were wrapped around another I couldn't breathe; thought she was your lover
v2 As you walked, you looked self assured Bending down, you spoke so gently I couldn't hear; your words kept fading I almost slipped, my knees started shaking
v3 Then we touched, I burned with desire Asked to dance, my heart beat loudly You grabbed my waist. And, pulled me closer We slowly kissed; the night's quickly over
chorus Bring back my heart, for I've got to know Bring back my love, for I need him so Bring back my heart Bring back my heart
bridge Got to know, who's lips I'm kissing Got to know, who's arms I'm caressing Got to know, if I'll be missing Your love, if you're not with me
chorus Bring back my heart, for I've got to know Bring back my love, for I need him so Bring back my heart Bring back my heart
chorus/repeat Bring back my heart, for I've got to know Bring back my love, for I need him so Bring back my heart Bring back my heart

Ron, hot stuff here!! LOL Might be a good idea, posting this way to give folks a better idea of the flow. Have a suggestion for last 2 lines of bridge: "Got to know if you'll be missing My love when you're not with me" Just seemed to fit better.

Hi Bama! Thanks for taking a peek at this one! This has happened to me too many times to remember, but I woke up at about 3am this morning, had to take care of business, if you know what I mean. Got back in bed; almost asleep, and wham! I had to get up and write it. The music, with all the instruments playing took over my mind until I became fully awake! Any hoo, I managed to get most of it down. Nice little sound to it, but, even though I managed to get it on the recorder, I will never capture it again, I am sure! Ha! Thanks for the suggestions, I will take a look at this again, and soon!
Take care! Ron Boyte

Hi Kaley! You must have been posting as I was responding to Bama! Ha! Joe's Place, well, don't be embarrassed; it is a bar. I guess people don't go to bars like they once did. At least, I know this people don't. Ha! Never liked them much anyway. Something else, you may have picked up on though, this lyric is about dancing and how this Lady has a crush on a Guy that has asked her to dance. Thought it was kind of a neat concept. Worth a try anyway! Ha!
Thanks mucho for the peeko! Ron Boyte

Hi Ron I like this and really think its a good song. Guess I missed it the first time around though. May be a typo but the word is "breathe" not breath. good writing!
