Thanks to Colin & Bruce, Steve Dockendorf, Jerry Jakala and Meyer Baron (on keyboards & a cappella) for braving the elements to share their gifts.
See you next week.

See ya Tuesday night,Bob! Hopefully there will be a few more folks than last week. The weather was pretty bad so I suppose some people didn't want to venture out and risk shrinking from all of the water. Rain don't bother me unless there is soap in it.

I am happy to announce that Steve Dockendorf has kindly consented to host more Fishlip Open Mikes in the future as his schedule allows. I love hosting the festivities, but with my work schedule bringing Steve in to partner this with me seems to be the best way to keep things fresh. Our tentative schedule is: Apr 17 Jeff 24 Steve May 1 Jeff 8 Steve 15 Jeff 22 Steve 29 Jeff June 5 Steve 12 Steve 19 Steve 26 Jeff Jul 3 Steve 10 Jeff 17 Steve 24 Jeff 31 Steve Aug 7 Steve 14 Steve 21 Jeff 28 Steve
Thanks Steve and thanks to everyone who puts the smile on the FISHLIPS!

That's right, Folks. Between the two of us we'll keep everybody on their toes and on the edge of their seats. And Jeff, on those weeks that I host, make sure to do your back exercises. Fish Lips has a great relaxed atmosphere and makes an ideal place to try out new songs, get over stage fright, make someone happy, you name it. You really should come and see what all the whoop is about. The address is 6250 Ulmerton Rd. on the SE corner of Ulmerton and US 19. In case you need to call, the number is 727-216-3866. If you're coming from Tampa, it's just across the Howard Frankland Bridge. Take the Ulmerton exit from I-275 and make a U-turn at US 19. Then turn right into the first driveway. Every Tue, 8-11 PM.

Steve, thanks for mentioning that U-turn. It's easy to miss if you don't know where it it, and with the construction, etc...well it's just easy to miss.

I'm sitting this one out to rest my voice for Sunday's gig at the Blueberry Patch. I can't seem to shake this cold.

Thanks to tonight's stellar lineup: Meyer Baron Steve Dockendorf Roby & Terry Bob Lever (Fishlips Founding Father) Kevin Thomas Jules Jerry Jakala
I will be passing the baton and Fishlips will be undergoing yet another regeneration. Steve Dockendorf will be grabbing the reins and Jerry Jakala will be filling in the weeks when Steve is out of town, but there are some nights when they both be gone and someone else is needed to step up. (Colin, are you out there?) Thanks to Jeff (the owner) and Kim (behind the bar) for making my time at Fishlips so enjoyable. I look forward to returning as an ordinary citizen.
Jeff
p.s.- Come out to the Blueberry Patch this Sunday the 22nd, I'll be opening for Meyer & The Spaghetti Band.

Get well soon, Bill. You missed some great pickin' and singin'.
What a lineup of talent tonight! I only regret I didn't have to get up early in the morning or I would have stayed longer. It's always good to see the regulars and it was a very pleasant bonus to see the roster expand tonight like it did.
I want all Tampa Bay JPFers to feel welcome and not to miss Fish Lips because it's one happenin' joint.

Thanks Meyer for pointing out my one word oops on my song. I fixed it when I got home. Next week it will be performed like it is supposed to. See ya all then!

Just like the regular JPF meetings/showcases there is a pretty good variety of music here by some very talented folks. Kind of like radio used to be, only live.

Jeff,
Yes I am listening. I might be able to help out occasionally so put me on the reserve list. You will no doubt hear more than one word oopses, however.
Colin
