The Farmer Song (A.K.A. Don’t Be Hatin’ (on Cultivatin’)) ©2006 Corey Parkman (Verses rapped, choruses sung) My big red Ford’s got forty inch wheels Hundred horsepower, man you know the deal Got a cultivator, got a box blade plow Got a big butt woman back at the house And I got more weed than you’d ever know Shoot ‘em with Roundup so my taters grow Brown boots steppin’ through the garden rows Life ain’t nothin’ but britches and hoes Don’t be hatin’ on cultivatin’ I keep the dinner on your plate ‘n I wear my jeans low And I talk real slow But I don’t keep your belly waitin’ So don’t be hatin’ on cultivatin’ Pop the collar on my flannel shirt Tilt my hat brim, knockin’ off the dirt Roll into town in my Seven-Deuce All my rims spinnin’ ‘cause the bolts came loose Meet up with my homies down at the truck stop Then I spend some Benjies at the Co-op Chump at a stoplight laughed at my ride I had to spit some Beechnut in that dude’s eye (Repeat Chorus) Tag Brown boots steppin’ through the garden rows Life ain’t nothin’ but britches and hoes ------------------ Check out my tunes @: http://www.myspace.com/coreyparkmansongwriter

Thanks Calvin. I'm trying to get my buddy who did "The Pirate Song" to try his hand at rapping this. If he gives in, I'll post the tune.

Corey: I think this is a riot! Hope you record it. Did you consider retitling it Britches and hoes or did you want to keep our guts from bustin till we got to the end of the chorus?

Glad ya liked it Ritt. This is more of the novelty type song than an intentional hip-hop country song ala Big and Rich... actually, they're kind of a novelty honestly ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) . Just plain silly fun. CP

Definitely got me Down on The Farm here, CoreyGuy!
Sug "WeedS" since "Weed" has Drug Connotations yaknow...(K-O-S)
Also think "MY Cultivatin'" rather than "On"..just "Connects" this listener better with The Singer, IMO. (K-O-S)
WAS kinda fun t'hear that Hank-Jr. line sung again..heh-heh! Jus' hope ya never hear from his Pub'rs Lawyer-Guys for usin' it again...heh!
"KUDOS" Amigo...definitely Give's Credit Where Credit's Due! Good Luck wit it! Big Mud-Caked Guy-Hug, Stan

Hey Paul. Thanks for reading. I never considered titling it that, but "Britches and Hoes" might make a better subtitle... more interesting anyway. Glad you enjoyed this goofiness.

you better up the horsepower on that Ford if you want it to be "manly"- my little Tacoma has more than that. You had me smiling when you rhymed plow and house.

Thanks Stan. The drug connotation is completely intentional. I pulled out every stop in making this a "parody" of rap with farming as the comparison, and since weed is prevalent in rap songs... there you go. I'll fix it if a record exec says to. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) Corey

Thanks a lot, Brokenwing! It's looking like I may indeed get a tune for this. Can't wait to post it.

Thanks Nashvillecat... I changed that line altogether - it's referring to a tractor (and most garden tractors are around 70-120 horsepower... and yeah, that doesn't sound very impressive).
Thanks Bobbie and Kim. Good to hear from you both.
