Hey all-- I'm new to the group. Lisa Martin got me interested in the Brattleboro Showcase, so I figured I'd check the site out.
I'm a Westminster musician, very much into all sorts of music. I've got a show coming up in Westminster West (at the West West town Hall), on June 3rd with Jesse Peters. I'm also doing a double-bill with Lisa on July 8th, same location. Admission is free; I hope to see some of you there, and look forward to meeting people at the June showcase!

Hi Julie,
Glad to hear that you will be at the showcase on June 8. You are welcome to come to our monthly songwriting workshop at the Putney Library in Putney, Vt on Tues June 7 at 7pm. Bring a song and copies of your typed lyrics to hand out. It's a good group. We meet the first Tuesday of each month.
The Workshop is facilitated by me and Lisa McCormick although she will be away on Wed June 7 and 8. I will be away on July 5 and she will be there for that one.
Are you new to the area? -Derrik Jordan

Derrik-- I do instrumental music, not vocal, plus I'm teaching Tuesday nights for the next eleven weeks. I run an open jam in Bellows Falls on the 2nd Sunday of every month at the RAMP Gallery (see http://juliewaters.com/2ndsundays.php for details) and am hosting a monthly Summer music series in Westminster West. I'd love to see musicians who are comfortable improvising (or ones who want to learn to improv better) show up for the song circle and if anyone is interested in being part of the West West series, please let me know. In the meantime, my big project (instrumental work, you know) is to adapt Bach's Cello suites for banjo. --julie ------------------ http://juliewaters.com/We're going to need a bigger handbasket.
