North Carolina Songwriter's Co-op Eighth Annual Contest Got a couple of great songs you want us to hear? Wanna win your share of over $3500 worth of prizes including a duplication package from Oasis CD? Want a chance to perform at choice venues in the triangle cities of North Carolina? Well get on it! Send us two of your best songs along with our application and a few paltry dollars and you could be a winner. www.ncsongwriters.org/contest. Any genre of song is welcome. Final deadline is September 30. Finalists must be available to perform at our finals event on November 12 in Carrboro, NC. Find the rest of our guidelines our website. "Winning the NC Songwriter's Co-op Song Contest was a much needed affirmation at just the right time in my life. It was sort of like ammunition against all those people who said, 'Jeez, the music business is really tough, etc…' I could say, 'Look what I did. The NC Songwriter's Co-op has chosen me as the best songwriter in a place full of great songwriters. People are talking about me, talking about my show. I can do this.' And I do. " - Jonathan Byrd, 2000 winner "Winning the contest was a high point of 2004 for me." -- Rick Spreitzer, 2004 winner A very special thanks to our fabulous sponsors: Oasis CD, www.SongU.com, www.Indie-Music.com, Monster Cable, The Music Loft, GigLight, Indie Bible, Singer&Musician Magazine, Songwriter's Hook Book, SingOut!, Dirty Linen and GHS Strings. Remember, you can find more about our contest at www.ncsongwriters.org/contest
