Hi Jacksonville. I have contacted a few artist who may be interested in starting and maintaining a Jacksonville chapter. Slowly but surely we will get there. I need help from other city members that may have friends in Jax. It's almost summer time, so that means that the festival season is almost upon us. For those who do not know, Jax has several festivals at the beach where national and local acts perform. Sorry the communications are short, but hopefully there will be more news as we expand.

Hi there. I posted a reply to JaxBands and I registered at JPFolks. See below: "Sounds like it might be cool to try. I went ahead and registered at JPFolks and will wait to hear more. I'm still trying to wade through the massive amount of stuff on their site but it looks interesting. Email me at amber.mcswain@akerman.com if you have or need more info or check out my website (new one is supposedly coming soon) www.ambermmcswain.com . My band and I play all original stuff which we consider Country but doesn't really sound that country in a traditional sense. I like to think of it as country soul/R&B. We have opened for several major country acts such as Big & Rich, Ronnie Milsap, Sammy Kershaw, Chris Cagle and Josh Gracin and we are almost finished with our first full-length album due out in July. I'm not sure what kind of music you are into but Jax has a very small country music scene unfortunately. I'm hoping that will change and perhaps this chapter could help. Thanks for letting everyone know about that site and I look forward to watching it grow here in Jax. Take care! ~Amber" ------------------ Amber McSwain, Lead Singer Glenn McSwain, Management/Booking www.ambermmcswain.com

Hi there!
Thanks for the response. I responded to you on JaxBands also. I checked out your site. Pretty good stuff.
You're right, country is not that big in Jax. However, JPFolks is not genre specific at all. There are all kinds of artist here. Hopefully you'll be able to get some good contacts. In the meantime, tell every artist you know about what we're trying to do here.
I'll keep you posted.

We'll be coming through in October for a Roadtrip stop. By that time we will have launched the new music awards cycle and will likely have a lot of new members to get involved. Between now and then, it would be great to find a friendly venue, get a core of 10-12 local members who can help get the word out and when we come through, we'll have a great time on the Roadtrip and be able to feature a lot of area artists!
