Ritt
I really like the angle but can't figure out how all the repetition will fit into the picture, choruses, bridges, builds etc.
Real good writing though and as I said a great angle.

Eric i don't believe i ever write a build or a lift or a pre chorus unless for the fun of it, the way i see it if the lyric doesn't naturally progress than it ain't happenning. in this song i picture the last two verses as a double chorus leading the music to soar into a dramatic come down into the the last two lines which are a mini bridge, bridging nothing, but it really doesn't matter as long as it creates musical drama. Got that, quiz in the morning! ------------------ http://www.ampcast.com/music/26305/artist.php

Hi Ritt, you have such a unique way with words I sometimes feel I have no way to even critique your stuff ...it can be pretty much put to anything you choose. My take on this one..my fav line.. "i am experience above the covers" really like this en! I think this one is a real goer. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) Liana Ps I cant remember the name of the lyric of mine you said reminded you of rolling stones, I was going to look it up if you knew the name, but Ive been so busy that I didnt get a chance to ask you. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/katziismusic.htm

Mornin' Ritt,
I love this hook! But...the other side of love in my mind (such as it is) means the wrong side of love. And...if he fits the image of a swashbuckling man (!), that sounds about right to me! 'Course, the rest of it fits the hook to a "T."

Hey Sweet,
I've been working on something in a similiar vein called "Mr Arrogance Is Here TO Save The Day" this one reminded me of that a little. Overall not a bad job I wasn't a big fan of the "teach you how to fly" verse though. Best of luck with I'm sure you'll get it to where you want it to be.
Later, Kevin

Ok if its not plastic surgery keeping him looking like he does, then the inescapable conclusion is that he goes tanking in formaldehyde.... As for this guy, he does have the right touch of confidence with that pinch of arrogance, which makes that verse Kevin pointed out stand out as "ordinary".... I think you have to move the character forward somehow.... ask yourself...wwjdd (what would johnny depp do?) ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif)

i hate to skip over, but John and Kritter, I tend to agree, but also think that verse has good sexy growl to it, that should make it sing and fit well, but still up in the air with it. hmmm reading again, maybe it does suck lol, well i'll fix it later after sleep, hmmm swashbuckler, nipples/ripples rhyme comes to mind, lol ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) damn John, I am Johnny Depp ------------------ http://www.ampcast.com/music/26305/artist.php

Liana c'mon girl this is a high classed pirate with diamonds from sunken treasures, and a plume in his hat, no dark dingy dungeons or sweaty filthy galleys for Johnny Depp; just lie back and capture the rapture ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif) lol ------------------ http://www.ampcast.com/music/26305/artist.php

Ritt, you haven't been talking to those cyber women again, have you? Ha! Confidence. Well, ok, I'll buy it. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/smile.gif)
"Grits is one of those country-boy words that is both singular and plural-like deer, elk and sheep. I think the singular is appropriate when there's a modifier that makes it clear one is talking about something specific. Like, 'Grits are good for you, but these here grits is tasty.'"~~Joe Wrabek

Thanks Leslie Welcome to Ritt's law of averages; some time ago a singer mentioned to me that for every 50 lyrics you write you have a ratz chance in hell of sniffing one hit song, so ever since I've been writing three lyrics a day; until thousands have piled up. Sooner or later (hopefully before i complete my quest to deplete the rain forest) I just may get lucky!!! ------------------ http://www.ampcast.com/music/26305/artist.php
