Just wanted to share this little tip
If you are aboriginal or metis and
want radio play for your song it is
next to guaranteed NCI Radio station
in Winnipeg Canada will play your song
They will go to any length to help
promote aboriginal talent.
my contact was with wild bill
i am not aboriginal but bill
has a soft heart for hard core country
music.I took one of my songs to nci
they told me there's a process you go through
but lets give a listen
we went into a little room he put it on
finished listening to it then went into
the control room where wild bill was
next thing you know they called me in
bill spun the cd and we talked about the song
live on the air.since that time i have helped
set up other artist with nci.they are a great bunch
over there.if you would like any help let me know

Hi Perry:NCI seems like a great station to give the natives a break in getting their music out to their people.I'm not aboriginal but I am a native Newfoundlander and I write a lot of traditional country,do think that would qualify me to get airplay on their station? haha.We have a small aboriginal population here,one of my best friends is aboriginal.

im pretty white myself grew up in Toronto
caught them on a good day i guess.
but its a very good contact with good results
aboriginals artists need songs to sing
and ive tapped into their market.

they still play stompin tom and he's from
down home why not music from the rock( they got some pretty good jiggers here)

That's good info you gave us on NCI. Good luck with your evangelistic initiative on the Canadian chapter.

BTW, my company supplies high speed Internet to First Nations schools. We recently installed one in your part of the world - at Peguis, Manitoba.

im with mts ya can only get dial up in
winnipeg beach from them bummer some times
but ya gotta work with what ya got
