This is an email I received from Pete and Pat Luboff. I've been to workshops before when he has filled in for them.. and nobody tells it like it is.. and is more helpful than Jon. Come on out if you can. Link is at the bottom of this post.! Kay-lynn We'll be in California next Monday celebrating our daughter Pepper's graduation from UC Berkeley. The lovely and talented JON IMS has agreed to do the workshop in our absence. Jon wrote "She's in Love With the Boy" among other hits, and he's widely known for his wit, perspicacity and perspicuity. For this special Monday, ALL WRITERS ATTENDING PAY $10 (showing songs or audits). Give your cash or checks to Jon. Your four-workshop cards will not be honored for this workshop. We don't want Jon to have to deal with our record keeping or any complicated math. Expirations on all four-workshop cards will be extended one week. Jon will be listening to and discussing songs only. There will be no analysis of a hit or verbalized commitments to our songwriting. So, Jon will start right in a 6PM with listening to songs. We recommend you bring 15 copies of your lyric sheets. When Jon subs for us, the attendance is usually high. (I'd make a drug joke here, but I can't think of one. Fill in your own.)
