Just happened. The trick will be to keep it short and to the point. It will be cool and a lesson in recording at least, to get feedback from the master, (if he does). Also, was told that Paul McCartney probably received our song site info from Rusty Anderson two weeks ago, (guitarists with Paul's band), who we were referred to by his secretary. I checked the download and play stats for the day mentioned, and the song in question, "Too little Time", was heavily hit compared to the days before and after.
We'll see though. It's all just fun anyhow, not expecting anything from it. Hope, yeah! But with how busy they all are.....
The things I could learn from them would be HUGE.

John,
Congrats.. even if nothing comes out of it, what a fun story and achievement!
We should have you guys do a live version of this in Philly or NJ. Are you coming out to any of those events?

John, That is outstanding to say the least!
I would have guessed that Mr. Martin would be deceased by now.. or retired from the music scene entirely.
It is interesting how we kicked it back and forth [talked/wrote] about the Beatles some and now this[!]
I want to wish you the best of luck, and I will keep my fingers crossed hoping that something great happens for you...
Yours truly, S.L.

"Also, was told that Paul McCartney probably received our song site [JPF???] info from Rusty Anderson two weeks ago, (guitarists with Paul's band), who we were referred to by his secretary."
Is it not a small world after all?
Hello, Just wanted to let everyone know that I checked out the song in question.. had to give it the ol' ^shameless bump^... you know just like I'm doing here. So in the mp3 section expect it to be fairly high up on the first page.
Just trying to downplay my excitement a little... yet I'm still giving myself away!
S.L.

Thanks Brian, great point about the positive side no matter what. So true!
OK, I'm in! I should thank you for even asking me to do that song. After thinking about it, it would be an honor to do it.
S.L. Thank you very much for your nice thoughts. It is interesting about the subject growing and then to this. But "this" is still just a hope of even being listened to seriously, and then to get feedback.
And, the sites are the ones we have our songs at.
Tony, thank you very much also! I am rooting for all of us Folk's here as much for myself. I know how all of us have desires. If I feel a certain way from creating music, I know I'm not alone!
Best to you too!
John Daubert

John,
That's the beauty of our shows. You only get to do 1 song most of the time anyway. So brush up that one and come out and do it. Even if you were bad, you wouldn't be the worst that night I assure you. We always have a mix of great performers along with some William Hung level peformers! = )

Sent the letter out yesterday, Thursady June 9th. He'll be getting it most likely early to mid week. Will be near Boston for my 5th showcase Wednesday. May the Irish luck be with me.

John, Please keep us posted. This is very exciting! I actually met Paul McCartney when I was 15....literally bumped into him in Central Park, New York...asked him what time it was...didn't realize it was him...two hours later....realized I had just met one of my childhood crushes ![[Linked Image]](http://www.justplainfolks.org/ubb/biggrin.gif) Have fun! Go for the gold!! Emily
