Not sure if it is a scam or scheme to separate songwriters from their money. I've been getting contacted, mostly from female singers, looking for songs, so assuming they want songs to record you send a song or two on a pro demo. They love the songs and some even do a bit of the song to show how they will sound doing the song, they sound great, then they ask how much you want to spend to have the song done. That is when I say goodbye. I already have a good demo, not looking for another demo.

Nah, he should've told them, "It's $5,000 up front. I take Zelle. That gets you the chorus. The rest of the song is another $15,000."
Maybe throw in a compliment. Everybody enjoys a good bullshit artist like yourself. Positive thinking, encouragement, all that wonderful crap. God bless America!
