Election season is in full swing, and after watching what feels like my thousandth TV campaign commercial, I noticed a common theme: "I'm 100% behind our president." It made me wonder... shouldn't candidates be 100% behind their constituents first? That little thought turned into this fun song. I hope it makes you smile. This is another song produced with by my AI voice. Bring Me Someone - Not That Guyhttps://soundclick.com/song/15288577[Instrumental Intro] [Verse] Don't bring me a king in a tailored suit Selling easy answers, calling them truth Don't bring me a hero who can't hear "no" Or thinks the whole world is a TV show [Verse] Don't bring me a smile that's hiding a scheme Or promises painted like a lottery dream Don't bring me a man who lives for applause I want someone stronger than his own flaws [Pre-chorus] No ego bigger than the sky No truth that changes by and by No "trust me" every other line We've had enough of that this time [Chorus] Bring me someone who serves instead of rules Who studies more than slogans, who values facts, not fools Bring me someone who'll leave the country strong Who knows the job is bigger than one man all along Bring me someone who remembers what this office means No lies, no scams, no manufactured schemes Not that guy! ‘Cause we know better Not that guy! America deserves better Not that guy! Not this time! [Break] [Verse] Don't bring me a billionaire who speaks in my name Playing with our future like it’s all a game Don't bring me a leader counting enemies Instead of counting opportunities [Pre-chorus] No insults dressed as honesty No chaos sold as strategy No shifting blame eternally That's not what leadership should be [Chorus] Bring me someone who serves instead of rules Who studies more than slogans, who values facts, not fools Bring me someone who'll leave the country strong Who knows the job is bigger than one man all along Bring me someone who remembers what this office means No lies, no scams, no manufactured schemes Not that guy! ‘Cause we know better Not that guy! America deserves better Not that guy! Not this time! [Bridge] The strongest never need a throne The wisest minds still learn Respect is never demanded It's something you must earn [Interlude] [Final chorus] Bring me someone who serves instead of rules Who studies more than slogans, who values facts, not fools Bring me someone who'll leave the country strong Who knows the job is bigger than one man all along Bring me someone who remembers what this office means No lies, no scams, no manufactured schemes Not that guy! ‘Cause we know better Not that guy! America deserves better Not that guy! Not this time! [Outro] [spoken] Bring me someone Not that guy Not this time

Rob, I really like this one. The hook, "Not that guy!", is memorable and easy to sing along with, and the lyrics build the message without ever having to name names. Whether people agree with the politics or not, it's well crafted and has the feel of a real protest anthem. Nice job putting conviction into a song that's both catchy and easy to follow.
We’re all built from the same dust and dreams, Different roads, but the same means.

You didn't mention anyone by name, but you might as well have. Obvious as Ben.
What you think of Trump doesn't phase me at all.
But the music is wrong for it, I think
That sounds like a Jason mraz or a beach song.
the singer sounds as if Trump doesn't bother him at all, and is enjoying it.
Lyrically you need to strip it down to a few of those ideas, words are all over the place.
Not sure why you posted a song in my thread, classless.
Anyway, the few folks here are all playing the ass kissing game, why? so theirs get kissed.
Pointless. Have it at, I'm tired of the clique.

I think we're getting away from what this site is really about. It's a songwriting community, not a place to bash each other or turn every discussion into a personal argument. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, and constructive feedback on the songs is what helps us all improve. We don't have to agree on politics, production, or writing styles, but we can disagree respectfully. Let's keep the focus on the music instead of each other. That's why most of us are here.
We’re all built from the same dust and dreams, Different roads, but the same means.
