This girl is so annoying, im not sure its worth watching. But if anybody knows what is being said, in two sentences feel free to let me know., cause it MIGHT be very important
Well, I listened to the entire video. A lot of baloney in there. One thing that caught my attention, is getting the US copyright is based on the honesty of the writer. The writer has to specify what parts of the song or recording they created prior to the AI app. All the writer has to say is it's all mine in its entirety.
As far as an official copyright. It's not needed until a lawsuit occurs. At that time a US Copyright is needed just to get into court. A writer can get a copyright any time prior to the court appearance. Of course, in court the copyright is useless. The writer still has to prove his work was stolen. A monumental task!
On a side note... ASCAP is now accepting "partially" AI generated music. Exactly how ASCAP is going to determine to which degree the song is AI generated is a big mystery. I imagine the same way the US Copyright Office makes the determination - from what the writer tells them. Not to worry, all writers are honest people.

John
Yeah, its foggy either way.
All songs ai or not are borrowed from others, otherwise every song would so so completely different than anything else.
So my take is, even if copyrighting the traditional, way, what real proof do you have that this melody belongs to you.
You'd have to analyze every song ever written to see if it was your original idea. And chances are its been done already, and multiple times
That said, I believe the issue is in the disclosing.
You're right many will never admit they got a Melody from Ai,.
If a song becomes a hit, you coukd imagine suno will be using Ai detectors to see if somebody used Ai for that song
Its easy to tell its ai, if using the actual track generated.
Much harder id imagine, if it's te recorded and using own singing voice..
I guess the main problem as you say is the honestly.
If your fans find out later you took everything from Ai.,
And if you're going to file a copyright infringement lawsuit, better have a lot of money. Our band from the 60's made 45's of our song "Won't You Tell Me". Back From the Grave Vol. 5 included that in their release. I can't help but wonder how much Crypt Records still makes from all their volumes of highjacked music. Not worth fighting it.

Yeah especially if sold at vinyl collection events.
I still love vinyl for that reason. My buddy who passed away, had Beatles revolver unopened...
And a Willie Mays baseball card.
No, not worth fighting. You'd have to be expecting huge payoff to win a case like that.
Copyright doesnt really protect you, unless youre a big star and can use it.
Little guy rarely wins those cases, even with copyright.
Mostly cause ' no possible other explanation" is hard to prove.
Gas is 7 bucks a gallon to drive to recording studios to work with the incoming extinct humans . The least of my worries is a lawyer that looks like a runway model and raddling off again on Robots in love in God We trust courtrooms. Come to order all you cheap charlies , or I will fine the robots on contempt .

Lol. She's clearly cashing in on the need for info about Ai stuff.
I dont know if they get paid more for having a longer video or what, but she was rambling through most of it.
Very annoying, but you get what you pay for. I wonder what her music sounds like?
With that, this site is officially gone. I guess I should follow suit.
The starfish site is boring too but does bring some laughs. Funny reading people being told they are great musicians, and producers cause they use suno.
And nobody talks about the song, which are in general, bad.
Again, get what you pay for.
I dont know what's next. I might consider a new kind of forum, one whete users give ratings, instead of comments.
Guess for now I ll work on getting myself more into the tracks, and use suno as band and producer.
She's alright I've heard her . Some gothic band of some kind. Naw John gas is 7 here in Calif . A dollar cheaper if you hit the Indian reservation Casinos gas stations . The probably have a deal with someone . A 100 dollars in cash lasted 2 and half days . it has the same respect of a dollar bill these days . You do not get excited on seeing one now.
Ive already mentioned this . You do a little promotion as the artist on FB or YouTube .Just be happy on being able to pick up a guitar and a few comments , good song man. Everyone on forums are old . So when you promote yourself you will get an audience from 45 to 70 years old . You will not attract 22 year olds . No they never heard of the Beatles or Journey.
