200 years from now to piggy back on Rick Beato's rant .

Let's exclude The Beatles, cause I honestly think they are the only ones that have a legitimate shot.

I'll start with Bach, more than any other classical artist, his music influences music today .

I think Chuck Berry possibly because there isn't a rock guitar player alive today who isn't influenced by him, even if they don't know it.

I think Hendrix has a shot because of how far ahead of his time and how innovative he was.

Not a huge fan I'd have to say Eddie Valen, i think as
Long as guitar players are around , his tapping and other techniques changed the game for rock guitar.

I think John Coltrane has a shot.

Homer pick, I think Springsteen will be remembered in New Jersey...not sure if in general.
Songs
Born to Run has a shot. Long as there are cars and people looking for a kick in the ass. And born in the USA for it's Historical reference of Vietnam. Massive hook.

Beatles ,Yesterday and others.

I agree with both those, I think Elvis more so than Dylan, cause Elvis impersonators are still all over.

His look and costumes alone. Plus he's one of greatest entertainers ever.

Dylan for his activism

Stones probably, but they aint quite The Beatles. Doors possibly, kids today like to listen to them to get high or drunk.

But 200 years is a long Time

Whitney Houston 0r Motown, I don't know

It's like the signing of declaration of independence who do remember 200 years later? Washington , Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, Paul Revere anddddd? 56 signed it

Mo-town had some good stuff , Marvin Gaye , a long list in that stable, Beatles were good until all the drug induced songs , But that's just me. But I'm sure Beatles will be number one. Chuck Berry , Elton John , its going to be a very long list of artists famous

It's your list to make, I asked the question only.

Not so ironically, the age of people here has them guessing 60s artists.

Beatles are the only true no brainier

Yeah but notice how you grouped 55 others all together, but you named John Hancock.

I'm pretty sure all 56 were all well known names at the time

Elvis Nash 200 years from now, that's when I'll make money at this. Social Security should run out by then , maybe I could be frozen like Walt Disney. I guess in 200 years will all be replaced by robots . is that a human singing ? How odd

Certainly an impactful singer, but Whitney Houston brought in a new over singing trend that Mariah Carey then took to obnoxious levels. I didn't find her to be that pleasurable to listen to when she was mechanically singing. No question it was impressive, but only in very small quantities before it is like eating too much desert. Great at first, but after a big portion you feel sick to your stomach. Her impact sadly led to endless "runs" that turned songs into mechanical feats sort of akin to a lead guitarist who over solo's to a boring extent. If it had stopped with her, then perhaps it would be more unique. But other vocalists have run that style and approach into the ground.

Musk is launching 100% self driving cars so people will have plenty of time during rides to play anything they want. But I doubt kids under 5 will ever drive a car. I don't think they will allow humans to drive in most cases. The safety of self driving cars will significantly surpass human drivers (and already has). Wait and see. He is pitching people renting their car to act as a self driving Uber type service all he hours you aren't using it. Tesla is so far ahead of everyone else, it will be super disruptive. Most likely everyone else will have to license the core A.I. tech sort of like how everyone had to pay JVC when they made VCRs and Cassette players.

I think the next big surge will be in car entertainment systems. I can't wait to get a self driving Motor Home! Then it can be a rolling office and I can relaunch our JPF Showcase tours again!
