https://www.soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=14844530 Song John Vaughan 2024 Vocal Mike Benitto Amost touched the moon v Walking home through summer fields of gold moonlight pointed a pathway to our door A chill filled the early morning air while the dew settled into it's favourite chair C We almost touched the moon love lifted us up into the sky. Got so drunk on love, floating up above Swear I saw the cow, fiddle and the spoon. We almost touched the moon v Like a fragile petal cradled in my hands we were one, long after a new day began In our bed lying beside me to rest one kiss then it's sleep, her head resting on my chest c b It's Sunday afternoon I fixed the coffee and the toast she wipes the sleep from a pair of deep blue eyes reaches for me from where she lies c We almost touched the moon love lifted us up into the sky. Got so drunk on love, floating up above Swear I saw the cow, fiddle and the spoon. We almost touched the moon

Cheers! Glad you enjoyed our song. Yes a distinctive retro feel to it. Thanks for the listen and comment. John

Very Nice tune John. Pleasant and light, as are the lyrics, with a very good vocal. Nicely crafted.
Enjoyed it. Marty

Well, this is certainly a different musical vibe than I expected coming from you I like the lyric and the music individually. Together, I wasn't sure at first. Like most of your lyrics, this is kind of folky and the Latin treatment took me off guard. In the end, I got into it though. Good one!

Thanks Marty. The lyric is one of a hundred I had on file eventually getting back to it. The song is probably old school now but it was a style I wanted to try. John

Hi Gavin Yes my much usual type of song, marrying the lyric with a Latin style seemed daunting . I listened to some of the song stylists for some guidance, particularly Paul Anka & Engelbert. Cheers Gavin appreciate your listen and comments John

Got an email tonight from a UK publisher who accepted another song called Someone and they like this as well. Heels have been dragged with Someone so I hope this song has a smoother passage. John

Beautiful lyrics, vocals and music. The moon has always played a role in love and it was always looking over my shoulder during many a late night kiss. Superb work here

Hey Travis, any traction on this with that UK publisher?
Peace,
