There’s a line dance bar in Cape Coral, Florida called “Dixie Roadhouse”. We go there twice a week when we’re in town. I love the place so much that last week I wrote a song about it. Maybe they’ll play it someday and create a line dace for it. That would be so awesome. I wrote the lyrics and used Suno for the music production. I already sent them the song and I think they like it.
[Verse] Boots on the ground tap to the beat Lights shining down rhythm so sweet Feel the groove take you away Line dancing the whole night away
[Verse] Hands on your hips sway side to side We all smile, got nothing to hide Move in unison hearts on display Friends forever every step we sway
[Pre-chorus] One two three and four Hurry up, get on the floor Grapevine, weave, brush and scoot Don’t forget your cowboy boots
[Chorus] Dixie Roadhouse where we unite Line dancing fever burning bright Clap your hands and stomp your feet You can’t resist this southern beat Let’s go line dancing at Dixie Roadhouse Line dancing at Dixie Roadhouse
[Verse] Round and round we circle the floor Loving the moment, wanting more If you haven’t line danced until now James and Cathy will show you how
[Verse] When Corey’s retro beats kick in Dixie’s Roadhouse dancers take a spin Old tunes, new grooves all mixed so right Party bar living all thru the night
[Bridge] Boots are clicking hearts are racing Every step we're celebrating Feel the joy, the night's alive Here together, here we thrive
[Verse] Rock 'n roll mixed with country gold Warm nights fun sights and rhythm bold From classic tunes to new age beat Cape Coral loves this sweet retreat
[Chorus] Dixie Roadhouse where we unite Line dancing fever burning bright Clap your hands and stomp your feet You can’t resist this southern beat Let’s go line dancing at Dixie Roadhouse Line dancing at Dixie Roadhouse Line dancing at Dixie Roadhouse Line dancing at Dixie Roadhouse
AS a pro dancer, I can say for certain this works as a line dance....the Roadhouse should use it as a n ad on local TV...nice job Rob.. I user to have a place in Fort Myers Beach back about 40 years ago and owned a bunch of building lots in Cape Coral...loved the areas
Creators of music have a responsibility to their craft. When they have finished using all the notes and words, they must pass them down to the next generation with a simple request. “Use these to create new music.”...Steven McDonald
Hi Bill, we visited Cape Coral some 20 years ago and fell in love with the city. Since 2 years we live there part time. The people are so friendly and, of course, there's Dixie Roadhouse.

Hey Steve, hopefully they'll come up with a dance for this one. If they do, I'll record it on video and post it here.
After hurricane Ian, they are still rebuilding Fort Myers Beach. Cape Coral is perfect for us. Kind of like paradise.
Wow, what a night at Dixie Roadhouse. They played my song “Line Dancing At Dixie Roadhouse” for the very first time and all of a sudden people started to line dance to the song. That place is out of this world! We noticed that my original version was not danceable (line dance) due to timing issues. I just created a new Line Dance Remix which should now work better.
Hey John, thanks for the feedback. I'm attaching a video of last night's session. They officially announced the song (the remixed version) and taught a dance to go with it. John, if you've never line danced before, this is your chance. James teaches the dance step by step. You'll find James' name in the lyrics of the song. To see people learn to dance to a song I wrote made me feel really good.
that takes some in sync to get everyone moving right lol , Very cool Rob , fun stuff . The (stereo typical) white people can't dance , does not apply in bars on a country road .
