Howdy y'all, Brand new here but not to songwriting which I have been for several years. All of my songs are registered with ASCAP. I've been a member with Taxi, NSAI, SongU and Global Songwriter Connection before to learn the craft. My market is for Country and Christian. My goals are to get songs cut by artists and sign a staff songwriter deal. I'm especially interested in people who can play instruments, sing and own a home studio. I have one Gospel song being cut soon and another song being represented by a Nashville music publisher. You can check out my music below. Check out Darin Martin on #SoundCloud https://soundcloud.app.goo.gl/Eiy7DIf interested, you can email me darintechdude2@gmail.com Thanks for your time and let's write a hit song together!

Welcome Darin! If you're a lyricists only then jump right in, there's many here who can rough-cut a lyric. But, if you can make any kind of demo of your own, even a bad one lol, that's even better!

IF you are looking for cuts and staff deals, you need to be inside Nashville, writing with, finding endless artists who will be in the game in the next 3-5 years. It is an inside game and the only way inside is to write your way in. Get your in personal, political game on, go learn to shake hands and kiss babies. It is more political than anyone ever realizes and you do need to be aware of that. The song is 15% of it. Everything else is relationships, longevity and luck. A ten year town to get your political contacts up. So get into it, but be aware of the realities. Write great songs with a lot of people and often.

i guess as long as there are artists making new albums, there always a chance somebody might want your song, i understand the rate at which spotify adds new songs is 40,000 per day!
That's alot of artists putting music up, i guess some of them might be open to recording yours, but wont be any money to be made.
When i read that number, wow.... 40 thousand songs per day. I guess thats a mixture of popular and indie songs, ranging from top 40 hits to joe the plumber....
But, i think having the song recorded and ready to be used, puts you in a better place than trying to get somebody to do all the recording from your scratch take.
Odds are greater than getting struck by lightning... TWICE... than having a hit.

"A lot of people will tell you that preparation is what will make you successful. But I think that people misunderstand exactly what that means sometimes. The type of preparation you need most is the kind that allows you to instantly seize an opportunity, change your course based on a momentary circumstance, and grab hold of the totally unexpected when it happens, and allow it to take you for the ride of your life! That is the kind of preparation that can lead to the most enjoyable type of success." -Brian Austin Whitney
