Explain your viewpoint to me regarding something.
There are people like me who are agnostic. Not atheist. Not antagonistic towards religion. We get why people want to find a connection to their reason for being.
But we view the story of Christianity and Jesus with doubts.

(((Perspective... The Bible is a history book verifiable by archeology and its own genealogical account. Understand, people in the old testament didn't live by faith because they knew how many generations they were removed from Adam and Eve... yet, they still rebelled against God)))

Aside from that...I dont think that any reasonable person doubts that the quickest way to an argument is religion or politics. Even though, this is a song site, that seems to be no issue. I've been on motorcycle ridership sites where conversations about either were stopped when they started.

(((Prophecy is and always has been the proof of God's Word. Without the prophets we wouldn't have a Bible. From a Christian perspective, validating everyone's complaints about "the world today" is good news)))

I dont view your enthusiasm for your religion as anything bad. Been around it my whole life. But what do you feel about possibly offending or making those people uncomfortable with very different religious views or "non"-views. Does what offends them matter? If not, why not?

(((Nobody has a right to not be offended, and if the Bible proves anything... it's that, for thousands of years, God's truth and man's will have always been at odds. The miracle is that the Bible still outlasts the argument. Consider the politics of Christ's crucifixion. Is there any doubt that He would still be crucified today?)))

I know that the question is a cliche, but I dont ever get to ask it in such a direct context.

(((The Spirit at work is never cliche')))

Also...Bonus question....
You are convinced that the partitioning of Israel means that the end times are at hand. And that the prophesized one world government is arising as we speak, which will enable the anti-Christ. And then all the books and tv shows will come true. The earth will become enveloped in war, after which the prince of peace will rule for a millenium.

(((The partitioning of Israel is irrelevant, the fact that Israel would rather go back to sacrificing animals for atonement is an affront to God. Jesus paid that blood debt in full.
-The antichrist will institute one word government and religion, not the other way around. He will seem to have everyone's answer, and his first achievement will be a seven year peace treaty with Israel... which he will break.
-Armageddon is the resulting world war that Christ must put an end to before the earth is destroyed.
-Before any of that can happen, the restraining Spirit, "true believers", must be removed in the rapture. You see, the seven years of tribulation is actually the result of allowing evil to feed upon itself. However, God is still merciful enough to allow 144,000 witnesses to remain and evangelize during that time.
-Yes, this is God's promise and I believe it. Without the Spirit you cannot have faith, both are a gift)))

But...what do you say to someone like me who agrees with you that some unified globalist government is something to be resisted...Yet...I am not at all certain that I want a one world government composed in your favored image?

He already knows it? Right? wink

My plan is to get through this life and keep my eyes open...until they aren't. wink

Thanks for answering my questions. Can't say that you have won a convert, but your sincerity is something to admire and appreciate.

The Gospel IS an offence to those that are being lost but it is unto salvation for the believer. If I see someone heading toward destruction, I am expected to tell them so, if they believe me and turn away from that path of destruction, I have help save them, if I do not tell them, I can be held responsible for their lost soul, if they do not believe me and keep heading toward destruction, then I will not be held responsible.
There is a spiritual battle between good and evil for man's soul. Man is a sinner, and sin can not enter into Heaven. Sin must be paid for and only innocent blood can pay for sin. That is why Jesus, who is sinless came to earth to pay for all man's sin by taking those sins upon Him and paying for those sins through His blood being shed to pay that cost. But man must accept and believe this and accept Jesus as his redeemer, if he does not, than he is still responsible to pay for his own sins. No other religion offers a way or a Saviour that paid for man's sins. The bible tell the way man must go but unfortunately too many people do not read the bible, and the bible says man suffers for the lack of knowledge.

Excellent point Everett! In fact, that's not only the very definition of Christianity, it's the obvious difference that distinguishes Christianity from all other philosophies and religions. As our creator, God forgives because only He can forgive. God lowered Himself, humbled Himself before His own creation, to serve as a perfect example, knowing that we would persecute and crucify Him for it. Which leaves mankind with a question... If God would humble Himself before His own creation, how much more should we, not only humble ourselves before God, but also each other?

A most common question about Christianity is; If God is so wonderful, powerful, and great, then why does He allow so much suffering and evil in the world? The answer should be obvious, He can't do any more for us than He already has... unless He takes away our free will. We were given dominion over this earth, so we are responsible for its condition. What have you done for God lately?

We are a rebellious lot and must learn from our mistakes, parents can not protect our children from every evil in life, God the Father gave us free will to make choices, many not wise choices, but He did give us a book to guide us into making the right choices. God has an enemy, Satan, who tempts us to make unwise choices, read the book of Job to see what Satan would do to mankind if God gave him free reign over us. Just as the Jews wanted a king to rule over them, God gave them kings, knowing it was bad for them but they had to learn the hard way. Mankind wants to rule and govern themselves, so He gave us a period of time to do so, knowing that we would make a mess of it, and we have. That period of time is about to come to an end when Jesus will set up His kingdom and rule with a rod of iron because man is still evil in his heart. After a thousand years of living in peace and perfection, man still will not be satisfied. When Satan is loosed from the pits of hell after a thousand years, he will have no trouble raising an army of people to try to take over earth again, but this time Satan will be tossed into the lake of fire for eternity. Jesus told us signs to watch for so we would know that He was about to make His move on this earth, those signs are fast falling into place, so believers, look up your redemption is drawing nigh. Sinners, you have but a short time to make your peace with God and accept His plan of salvation. Read His book, the bible, to learn about His Son and what He did to make a way for us.
