and I can still hear the staccato

My days are spent drowning in sorrows

any comfort I can find
since you left me behind.

You gave me no motives for Why?
when I saw lightening flash in your eyes
and the thunderous burn of your callous replies

Now I’ve got acres of blue sheets
all smooth on one side
Only left rumpled where I lie
mourning your love denied

My cell phone keeps ringing
all my friends sympathize
but each call their not bringing
the sound of your sighs

and stop raining these blues
over all that I was dreaming of.

When I first listened to Mikes musical bed, I was tempted to try for my self, but the temptation only lasted for all of 5 seconds lol.

I just can't comprehend how those more clever than me can write lyrics to fit existing music Matt, but you have done it, and it works.

Definitely an achievement.

Hey Roy, coming from you that's one hell of a compliment. It wasn't easy by any stretch of the imagination but the words just flowed to the wails of Mikes bluesy creation. I could never have played such a complicated piece as mike did, but it was sheer joy to add lyrics and melody to his masterpiece. Thanks again for your listen and comment. ~~Matt
