It's All About Babies!!
I used to be a Baby
way way back
in that land of maybe
Long ago....
And I didn't get a choice
back then I had no voice
only the soft cry I wailed
as they slapped me
on my tiny cheeks
and I came into the world.
And I used to have
a Mom And Dad,
But they're both gone now
and it makes me sad.
I've become a Father
like my Daddy was
but I'm doing a lot
of things differently .
Just because.....
He wasn't always there for me
even though I realize
that's how it had to be...
We shared a whole lot
of love and poverty
and he worked his
fingers to the bone
for his family...
and I'll always
love him tenderly.
But I've come to realize
Life is all about babies
and those incredible maybes
with the hopes and promises
each baby brings.
We all are a gifts from God
wrapped in the flesh of newborns
and a world without babies
would be filled with a sad
absence of maybes
Forevermore.....
So let's keep making babies
and someday just maybe
one will come along
and grow up and offer us
All that we've been hoping for
A road to Peace evermore.
