Happy Weekend, JPF'rs all over the place. This song is for sharing. My co-writer Jim Purtell and I wrote it several years ago but I was never completely happy with the production. Recently, we've been going through our catalog, picking out our favorites and, hopefully, best songs, that we felt needed an update. This was one of my picks and I couldn't think of anyone other than Mike Zaneski to make it the song it deserved to be. He really put his heart and soul into the vocals. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for listening. Ricki https://soundcloud.com/rickib/cant-say-it-enoughOn this day filled with clouds Flung like stones across the sky And a sky that was made To kiss the blues goodbye I can’t say it enough I wouldn’t be here without your love Saved my life, saved my soul We left the rest far behind This new start set me free Breaking all the chains that bind I can’t say it enough I wouldn’t be here without your love I saw the path as endless You lit the way with tenderness If we watch carefully Days like this come along Hold on tight to this life Where so much can go wrong I can’t say it enough I wouldn’t be here without your love Can’t say it enough Can’t say it enough ©Jim Purtell (BMI) / Ricki E. Hello Ricki, W O W, that's impressive. Sounds like it was made for Hall/Oates. Calvin http://www.soundclick.com/bands/0/calvinstewart

Hi Ricki and Jim:
Your choice for production and vocal here is perfect. I think we may have found Zaneski's "genre of choice" 'cause he put it all on the line in your song. Impressive write and an enjoyable listen. Send more soon! ----Dave

That is a super production/performance job by Mike -- but the song is pretty dang good, too. All in all a mighty fine listening experience.

Well, BlakeAllyn, that's awesome! I don't think any of my songs have ever had an audience of as many as 10 people at one time. I hope you were among them? Thanks for letting me know. Ricki

Ricki we were drinking beers and listening to some tunes so I played yours and a few others. They couldn't believe this stuff doesn't get played.

Thanks everyone. It's fun making demos for and with Ricki. Our tastes overlap like a Venn diagram with a big middle, so when I let her know I'm trying something like a modern Al Green sound, she's as enthused as me. I appreciate the nice comments. It's all about laying a solid foundations and building from there--I had a great song to work with and had fun. Life is good. Mike

Man awesome vocals Mike!
I thought the vocals were just slightly harsh with maybe a slight too bright...
Everything else sounds solid to me. VERY nice work!
I like the songwriting and melodies. Not too predictable but still very comfortable to listen to.

Ricki, I really liked this love ballad. Great lyrical imagery. "Save my life, save my soul" - wonderful line. Your vocal works well and is heartfelt. The tune has a good melody and gentle bridge, Nice use of the horn in tune. I wonder if your title is "I Wouldn't Be Here Without Love". Enjoyed this a lot.

Thanks for listening, Emmanuel. Glad you liked this one. Mike's vocals can really soar.
Normally, I make sure that the last line a listener will hear will be the title. I can't really say at this point why I didn't do that here.
I do know that while I thought about making the title I Wouldn't Be Hear Without Your Love, I decided it was too long and cumbersome and maybe a little less interesting than Can't Say it Enough. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Ricki
